This is the first one of a new series I title with "Places and Faces from Paris".
All are been scanned with a special method look to my WS, invented by myself.
This first one shows one of those pictoruesque entrances of Parisian Metro.
"Paris'ten yerler ve yüzler" adını verdiğim yeni bir Dizi'nin ilk karesi bu.
Bütün resimler Ektachrome Dia'lardan tarandı. WS de benim "mucidi" olduğum tarama metodunu görebilirsiniz !
Bu ilk kare Paris'in o sanatsal Metro girişlerinden birini gösteriyor.

Bonjour, cher Mesut,

It's like experiencing the work of some modern inventor. I think your special method has worked really well.
The way you have composed the photograph gives viewers the impression that they are entering the Metro; there is certainly an impression of descending!
The larger format has given you an opportunity to supply extremely interesting details.
Have a lovely Sunday,

Hello my friend, very nice image here. I've seen this entrance a million times. Only on TV unfortunately. This time i have the chance to see it a bit closer. Good take with good details.

Your "scanned" image has an excellent quality. I like your inventiveness with this process. The image is well composed to show the architecture of the entrance, the people entering and the business of the other people.

To me, these art deco Metro entrances are so much the symbol of Paris, as much as the Eiffel tower or the Arc de Triumph! I have seen these in books since I was a child and first became interested in world cities. This is a beautiful everyday scene that really captures a cities soul.
Love your invention for scanning too, the result is fantastic!
All the best

I love those Parisian Métro Entrances! They're so beautiful!
This is a very attractive picture too!
Sharpness, exposure, colors, vertical format, chosen pov and composition are all excellent!
TFS - congrats,
Enjoy your Sunday,

Famous Metro art nouveau entrance, very well captured. I'm very intrigued by your method of digitising your transparencies, which is certainly a lot cheaper than investing in a dedicated slide/negative scanner. I was lucky: when I was working in a Further Education College, teaching Photography, we had a Nikon slide scanner, so I was able to transfer all my archive of slides and negatives to digital files that way. But I'm going to try your method and compare the two!

Yes, the entrance is a small piece of art.
Looking at the thumbnail we know immediately that this is Paris.
It's like an unofficial symbol of the city.
Best regards, Paul

Very innovative way of scanning indeed producing good result.
Well composed image to show the architecture on the gate along with these 3 commuters descending down the stairs. You have portrayed well the busy environment. Thanks for sharing.

Seeing this green sun-blind overhead, i knew right away this was in Paris, Mesut.
So typical, and yet a fine iron-wrought made in style to give extra shelter on a rainey/sunny days.

Hello Mesut - The entrance to the Metro is distinctive and lovely with its Art Nouveau design. Where else could one be but in Paris. You did a good job with the scan ... clever! Warm regards Rosemary

Hallo Mesut abi,

The presence of the people is adding life to the scene. The point of view is showing the details and the colours of the entrance of the metro station. The light has a good effect on the colours. Have a nice day.
