Photographer's Note
I play a little with HDR
The center dominates the Nera Valley from a height of 222 meters above sea level, located near the Cascade Falls, its history is closely linked to that of the famous waterfall, because - in the industrial era - the central Galleto (word belonging Papigno) produced hydroelectric power for industrial purposes in the city of Terni, which, coupled with the exploitation of the hydrocarbon, it has established the economic importance.
The territory of Papigno has brought to light several times Roman ruins outside of town, which was formed during the early Middle Ages on a relief and isolated in a privileged position for the defense and the sighting of two major roads: Valnerina Street and Curia, who, climbing the slopes of Monte Sant'Angelo to the Falls, leading to Rieti.
The first mention of the castle dates back to 1220, when some representatives of the family of Arroni grant to the castle town of Terni as collateral for a loan of 1300 pounds of Lucca. In 1225 following the failure to repay the loan, the town of Terni buy Papigno for 2825 lire of Lucca and Siena. From the thirteenth century onwards Papigno follow the fortunes of Terni, trying several times to assert their autonomy, but without success.
The urban medieval is well preserved, the town plan is formed by rows of houses arranged in parallel arrays, according to the direction of penetration of the country.
The village suffered the total destruction caused by an earthquake in 1785. Its present appearance is unmistakable signs nineteenth-century building.
Nearby, in December 1798, the French general Lemoine you defeated the Neapolitans, commanded by General Mark, more numerous (Battle of Terni).
Independent municipality until 1927, part of the province of Perugia, was merged in the same year by the current policy.

Ciao Silvio,
Così, a tutta prima, l'effetto mi piace molto...
ai posteri l'ardua sentenza!

Hi Silvio
hmmm....hdr from you!!!
lets get to critiquing this one!
First of all, you chose an excellent subject - there are no moving parts, no people that would be in need of ghosting - because you need to take at least 3 individual photos at different exposures...did you do that? with a tripod?
A couple of things i would change are....
In shooting HDR, its best to keep the sky OUT of the frame, especially if you're going to produce the final product with this level of 'painterly' HDR, and not the 'smooth' HDR.
Also, for some reason, the color Blue tends to highlight many of the subjects - like an angels halo ring. Therefore i always decrease saturation of the blues, that will help. For example...take a look at the vertical pipe running up the wall on the far left, there is a strong blue color to it, that needs to be decreased.
Also, the plants and trees tend to come out overly green, therefore the 'greens' and 'yellows' also need to be decreased in saturation.
its actually alot of work to produce a real-life HDR image, its not easy :) Keep working on it! I want to see more! Especially because stone and cobblestones, like you have here in this image are excellent subjects for HDR!
I hope you don't mind my critique, i'm only trying to help :) I went through this same HDR learning curve, so i want to help you too.
let me know what you think.
Cheers
Craig

Ciao silvio,

ciao
