Palmanova (Palme in friulano[4]) è un comune italiano di 5.396 abitanti della provincia di Udine in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Città fortezza costruita dai veneziani nel 1593, è chiamata la città stellata per la sua pianta poligonale a stella con 9 punte. Dal 1960 è monumento nazionale.
Il Duomo di Palmanova (1615-1636), che si affaccia sulla Piazza Grande e rappresenta il miglior esempio di architettura veneziana in Friuli. All'interno, si può notare la pala dell'"Annunciazione" (1877), opera del pittore forlivese Pompeo Randi.

Palmanova (Friulian Palme [4]) is an Italian town of 5,396 inhabitants of the province of Udine in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Fortress city built by the Venetians in 1593, is called the star-shaped city for its polygonal to star with 9 points. Since 1960 is a national monument.
The Cathedral of Palmanova (1615-1636), overlooking the Piazza Grande and is the best example of Venetian architecture in Friuli. Inside, you can see the blade of '"Annunciation" (1877), painted by Pompeo Randi Forli.

Hello Marino,
the composition with the channel leading toward the Cathedral with its intricate detail works very well.
The exposure level has been handled very well to produce a fine photograph.

spero di fare in tempo a commentare prima che andiate a nanna! :-)
Ottima foto, caratterizzata da una buona scelta del POV, per nulla casuale, con questo fossato che porta l'occhio direttamente in chiesa e crea piacevoli riflessi. Perfetta la nitidezza e la gestione della luce. Se proprio c'è da fare il pignolo, direi che andava un pò corretta la convergenza verso il centro delle colonne dovuta alla distorsione della lente, ma credo sia un dettaglio secondario nei confronti dell'interessante composizione. Bravo!

An attractive composition with three interesting elements : the white facade , the yellow building ; and teh square with the water in the FG . All well framed and exposed .

Hello Marino,

You're capturing well this architecture and town scape by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see elegant Cathedral with Venetian sytle and the sqaure in front of it. It is also impressive that a Saint's sculpture is put on the outer wall of Cathedral as well as white wall. It's good at the contrast the architecture with yellow wall at right side, too. And, the reflection projected to the outer moat of the square draws out an additional good effect.

Πολύ καλή έκθεση!

Η γωνία λήψης υποβοηθεί την προοπτική και η άψογη διαχείριση φωτός συμβάλλει στην τέλεια απόδοση της εικόνας. Δεν υπάρχουν σημεία που να "κρύβονται" από τον θεατή, αλλά ούτε και σημεία που να "τυφλώνουν" λόγω του έντονου ηλιακού φωτός.

je reviens d'Italie (Rome) et les basiliques sont nombreuses comme celle-ci, souvent blanches, une architecture superbe, ici ton cadrage est serré probablement à cause de voiture à gauche...un bel aperçu de l'ensemble de la place avec des reflets dans l'eau d'une partie des colonnes

Buongiorno Marino,
A white shining facade, as in here - not an easy task to ballance and contrast. You managed well doing this, just one comment I'd say: a few steps backwards could have include a whole edifice on image(side left, on pic.).
Nice light and clearity collected.

nice the view of the whiteness of the white facade's Cathedral with the small canal to creates depth and perspective in the scene and lead-in the eye on it.I like the light and the colour management of the image.

A very fine church from a well chosen POV where we see parts of the façade nicely reflected in the narrow surface of water. The photo is very well exposed and has fine clarity and great colours.

bella ed efficacissima la scelta del POV, eccellente la costruzione dell'immagine, assolutamente non facile quando si scattano foto di questo tipo nelle quali si rischia di cadere nell'ovvio e nello scontato.

molto bella l'architettura di questa chiesa la cui facciata bianca ben contrasta con il blu del cielo.
Ottimo l'inserimento del canale d'acqua in FG che oltre ad arricchire la composizione, dà profondità all'immagine.

Hello Marino,

A picture with an excellent point of view.
The diagonal lines and the water creates
a nice depth and that makes the picture
exciting. Also nice is that the water is
a nice color-break. The great composition
makes the picture nice calmness and it
emphasize (with the vertical position)
extra the depth, but also the highness of
the building.....Good work.
