Photographer's Note

Although it might not be perceived as being a solemn thing from a westerner's perspective, there is a serious level of formality and observance to take into account when approaching and addressing oneself to a tribal chief.

This chief didn't like the idea of being photographed, and even less when I asked him to take place in front of its hut, but with genuine respect and big smile, it can go a long way.

Still, the grumpy face remained, but I like it like that, as a cute looking chief isn't a real chief...
