He is a head of block in the village. Each block has a portable shrine / float, so he is a master of those.
He was kind and friendly to me even though he was busy for several coordination. His head band is very famous in the festival in Japan, "Nejiri-hachimaki", which is the symbol for the fighting spirit, power and willingness.

Nice moment, i like the expression on the subjects face. Nice framing as well. F8 and the lanterns might have been sharp as well!

A fine view of a this person taking his responsibilities very seriously. Interesting head decoration and a fine fuzzy but telling background.

A funny expression but a very good portrait! Good colours. Would have been interesting to read the signs here, I wish I could!

Great composition. Good framing. Wonderful colours.
I like the DOF - it ensures your subject is the point.
Lovely expression on the Masters face :))

Yes..The composition works well here....
Some times it gives an effect of him trying to turn people around towards his Blocks!
His expression and the position in the frame makes it an enjoyable photo.

A queer expression on his face, but what I like most is the bg of the paper lanterns...they liven the scene a lot for me. As always a fine use of shallow DOF to isolate him out. Good work!
