Hi everybody, came around to have a look your photos that I missed in the past a few months, and upload a photo as well..the place was mentioned on yesterday's BBc radio4, so I thought this is the right one:-D
This is the Wollation Hall, a bit dramatised,... but, does it remind you of "The Dark Knight Rises", Or "Wayne Manor"? Thanks for looking.

A true and strong UK sky envelopes Wollation Hall ... I really like the rich contrasting UK skies. Indeed whom ever might dwell there seems up to something .... save the world and the opposite.

Welcome back. It's nice to see you are still around :-). But you must have gone crazy! Wasting so many smilies on me :-).
Now, this picture is absolutely worth a smiley. Not that I would be particularly keen on spending a night alone in that house, but it's great to watch it from this distance. That dark sky and the lush green lawn and trees surround the building beautifully and make it look magnificent. I don't know if you have done a lot of PP or if this is just what it looked like at that moment - a strange combination of darkness and bright light. Whatever, the result is splendid. It's a really good architectural shot.

Nice to see you post :)
And what a post!! This is exactly the type of image that got me into photography, great houses and they don't get much greater than this. The sky creates awesome drama and mood and the building itself is just superb. This would be a perfect location for a horror film. Beautiful building, wonderful light and composition, really nicely done.
All the best

It's a very attractive object - an old building that looks dangerously like the sky.
An expressive shot, Exposition, sharpness, colouring are superb. I like your photo.
Best regards, Leszek

Hi Jamine, well what a great photo- I love how you have the stormy darkened skies in the BG- allowing the lovely light to enhance the truely amazing Victorian architecture.. love the association to "The Dark Night Rises".. well done

The picture clearly looks highly dramatic and I really like it.
The green of the lawn and the stone colour of the facade and the turrets stand out wonderfully against the dark sky, looking almost like at night.
Excellent architectural shot.
Best regards, Paul

Ciao e buon fine settimana

Ti auguro un bellissimo we

Great atmospheric shot of Wollation Hall. The lighting and the sky is unbelievable with great sharpness and colour in the shot.

Hi Jasmine. This atmospheric photo shows us that one does not need blue skies in order to take an excellent shot. The colours are so deep and rich and the details are excellent as they are not washed out by the bright sunshine. lovely texture to both stone and leaf.Well done. Regards. Klaudio.

The dark stormy sky suits the subject well, giving it the allure of a haunted house. I like the point of view and the relief offered by the nicely lit expanse of greenery in the foreground. A clear well presented image.

Hello Jasmine ,
A superb capture of this splendid castle , with the best conditions , in term of sky and light .
saxo042 (35114) 2013-07-06 7:34
The dark and dramatic sky really emphasize the beauty of this building. Must have been some very important persons living here once... But the beauty of the architecture remains!

An interesting note and a very striking photograph. The play of light and shade on the magnificent fašade of this building is delightful and the colours are wonderfully vibrant. And the contrast of the fairly brightly lit building and foreground against the much darker and threatening sky is just fabulous.
As others have said, I'm not sure how much processing work you did to this image, but it works very well indeed and gives a wonderfully dramatic effect without being at all overstated.

I like the Gothic mood in this photo. The architecture and the dark sky add to the atmosphere. I like a stormy sky, and the greenery on the sides and in the foreground all make this a balanced and attractive composition.

So pleased to see you back ! We missed you !
This is a fantastic picture of an incredible manor house ! How did you manage to get these sun-stricken walls under such a threatening sky ! But the result is stunning and so appropriate for "the Dark Knight Rises" !
England is so full of these places that are ideal for the setting of this kind of film.
Congratulations and thanks for sharing.

This is a great photo, with that menacing dark grey sky behind the grand old building. Nice and sharp with good light control.
