Photographer's Note
Quickly becoming one of my favorite subjects to photograph...trains!
They are so photogenic, i'm honestly surprised we don't see more of them here on TE. In my opinion, the older, dirtier, and run-down they are the better they are to photograph.
Here in North Vancouver, you'll find this train Depot, full of old clunkers, and a few new ones. I was like a kid in a candy store here! The sky was a bit overcast, and it was about to rain so i couldn't stay too long - not to mention i'm standing right in the middle of the railroad tracks in a no-trespassing zone too!
In case you're wondering, this one is captured in HDR.
Hope you like it
Cheers
Craig

Hello Craig,
A well composed shot of this industrial scene. The image is nicely balanced and has plenty to maintain the interest without being over busy. Fine technical presentation. I must say that I wanted to be an engine driver when I was growing up but steam engines were still going strong then, I don't think modern electric locomotives have the same power to enchant:-)

Bonjour Craig
J'aime beaucoup cette composition. Une série de trains qui donne une très belle profondeur à l'image qui est très industrielle mais quand même esthétique.
Amicalement

Hi Craig,
I agree with the title. And should get more active myself to fulfill the demand...
I like this less usual environment showing freight trains on their terminus. Tracks on different levels also make this interesting. Yes' it was worth getting there to catch a close view.

Hi Craig,
looking at this fantastic composition I can fully understand how you are so attracted to them, they indeed offer a lot of great photo opportunities. Here you have squeezed in the frame so many interesting industrial like elements. I like especially this electricity related object which has such a funny shape.
The barrels of the train in the right are also so charming.
Excellent composition, it is a pleasure to follow your experiments.
Happy New Year!

hello Craig,
This is a very fine HDR shot and not at all over done. The range of colours are subtle and the sharpness excellent. Standing in the middle of the track - what you do for your photography! An interesting collection of railway related objects and buildings that all come together in a great composition.
Best wishes for the New Year, Ann
