The Basilica of the Annunciation stands over a cave in the town of Nazareth, where the Angel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary.

A church is mentioned here for the first time in 570, probably existed since the 4th Century. It was replaced in 1955 by this new building

Hello Achim,
The dome of the basilica stands out perfectly against the azure blue sky. The image has some some interesting light and shadow contrasts and benefits from good colours and sharpness.
