Photographer's Note

Quand on passe sur la route nationale à proximité de Mexilhoeira Grande , le regard est attiré par l'élégant clocher dominant les maisons blanches de ce gros village typique . En fait , l'Igreja Matriz se situe en limite nord-est de la localité . Une jolie place a été aménagée autour d'elle .
C'est un édifice Renaissance du 16è siècle , avec deux portails latéraux de style manuélin , sous le vocable de Nossa Senhora da Assuncão .

Hi Denis,
I love your POV here; the church rises to greater levels as the eyes follow it! Super clarity and colours and the light is very good.

Stair and shadow lead us to these wonderful church.

Hello Denis,
This photo is impressively well exposed. The walls are drenched by sunlight but are still far from overexposed. You found a very good POV which shows the clouds towering majesticaly behind the church.

Cette église joliment restaurée et au clocher atypique est bien mise en valeur, à la fois par le cadrage et par le contraste entre le blanc immaculé des murs et le beau ciel nuageux, bravo !

Very nice captured of a white color architectural church in the foreground together splendid white color puffy clouds such as cotton-wool in the blue sky in the background. Good composition and excellent presentation with perfect perspective and succesful light management to get well sharpness,fine clarity and saturated colors.

L'église a à la fois la massivité et l'élégance. Le point de vue et la légère contre-plongée sont très agréables. La photo lumineuse colorée et nette est superbe, tout comme ce ciel exceptionnel. Bravo.

Molto bello l'albero sull'angolo della chiesa già con le foglie, che contrasta con gli altri due acconto ancora spogli.

Bonjour Denis - I love your composition here, the FG shadow is so perfectly placed in the frame echoing the line of the wall and steps which lead to the beautifully contrasted building. Wonderful rich saturation, the sky is fabulous. Warm regards rosemary
