Photographer's Note
This one if for Leo. Now we sort of have a matched pair, although I gather he had to go much further afield to get his wonderful photo: Pink Trio to a place called Hsipaw!
The U-Bein Bridge is located just on the outskirts of Mandalay and is a popular place for the locals and the tourists to go, particularly in the later afternoon and early evenings. For a larger view: Click Me

Hi Steve
A dynamic and smiling composition. Splendid colored clothes standing out the light bokeh which even so shows us the background.

Hello Steve,
Partly cheerful, partly shy, in any case a nice and very pink trio. This is one of those pictures that make me long to go back to Burma.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Steve, This a great "peoplescape" there should be more of them. I am tired of looking at old buildings. Ha Ha. No,I like your shot of these young monks. I am sure they are a very dedicated group of people. You did a nice job capturing their presence. Nice Job. BTW, I have that lens you used. I love it. I was going to buy the 2.8, but it was heavy, expensive and with IS and the ISO setting you can have today, I settled for the f4. Regards, Roger

beautiful afternoon light here steve to capture the pink trio and good dof also. I would have liked to have taken a step back or so and captured their feet also.

Nice moment shared with us.
Now the critique: within your TE collection of U-bein photos, this one would profit for a tight cropping (under the hands), less bridge (we can see it in other photos) and focussing on some of the nice specifics of the scene, like the parallelism of the brown folded draperies, the hand-holding, which here is so in harmony with the scene, but barely noticeable.
A slight timing change might have allowed to either get the one of the left reciprocate your attention like the others, or illustrate her shyness better. Here, she is just looking down.
If impossible to take the 4th one out behind during the shoot, I would edit her out, filling in with foliage instead. Perfect example of shot that needs a few frames and a little attention to detail, to become more than the souvenir of a nice moment.
PS: fun is over. Teacher is coming over soon. Not a minute too soon! :-)
