you chose the POV with the best view at these perfect semicircles embraced by the strong arms of these rocks. Wonderful soft light.
Good one, cheers Christian

Derek: perhaps the .9 ND did the magic here, but the shot is masterfully composed. sure you didn't tweek the color balance? Beautiful. c

The image is powerful effect on natural and very pleasant to the eye, I believe that the use of filters sometimes goes well, this is one of them.
Congratulations and greetings

You show us here a wonderful picture, I am a great fan of F/22 and long exposure as 30 seconds.
Everyone can see which fantastic image you have made.
I like the curve in foreground together with wonderful pink colours, my compliments for this one. TFS.

The beautiful colours in the sky are reflecting across the whole image. The slow shutter has smoothed out the water so we can see the almost prefect semi-circle of the bay; also thanks to your high POV. Good use of the grad. Well done

Hello Derek -
Excellent colors! A superb capture that demonstrates some of the best images are captured after the sun is down.
Thank you for sharing.

impressive color and perspective, nicely done... for such long exposure I wonder if you shouldn't stay at f11 and not beyond...

I haven't tried a very long exposure before but i can see from this image the stunning effect in water. Dorset is such a dream place for landscape photographers like me, apart from the rocky coastal, you've managed to show us the beauty of this place in different view. Amazing shot Derek.

Hi Derek, great dusk! excellent colors and POV. you're very lucky to see such a beautiful moment.. Congratulations,

Looks like Baja California!
You've used the wide angle to good effect on this shot, because for me - despite the obvious attractions of the evening colours - the most impressive feature is the beautiful curve of this bay.
Paradise, in Dorset, who'd have thought!

I've just seen the blue one (just above that one in the gallery) and I found it interesting to compare the 2 colors in the same place... A beautiful and poetic moment, well captured.

The water really looks like a giant jelly-fish. I guess that's why they call it the "Man O'War" bay... But it was your long exposure that gave it that jelly feeling. Looks like silk. The light is excellent and so are your colors. Great photo!

fantastic shot, Derek, the strong purple colour does indeed create a feeling that we are looking at a prehistoric scene as the name of the coast suggests. the long exposure works really well to smooth the water and add to the surreal and dreamy mood of the scene. excellent work, my compliments.
