Photographer's Note

This was my favorite building in Madrid. Not so popular as Metropolis but very beautiful. As I stayed in the hostel near the centre, I went there again and again.
I looked in Google for information, but I found only this: Banesto (officially Banco Español de Crédito, S.A., "Spanish credit bank", BMAD: BTO) is a Spanish bank, 88.4% owned by Banco Santander. Currently Banesto is the fifth-largest banking group in Spain, operating around 1,770 branches.

Not the best moment to take your money there ;) . Nevetheless , a fine smetrical view of this iconic building of Madrid . May be you should have cropped a little on the left , to get the "perfect" symetry .

You have chosen a closed framing in a good low-angle shot, for to catch the details of this elegant architecture, with the nice perspective created by both fronts.

Malgorzata this is a very famous building in Madrid and you have captured it excellently. I like the almost perfect symmetry and the excellent light. Perfect POV. Well done.

Hello Malgo, I just saw a travelogue on TV of Madrid and the surrounding area. I am sure this was one of the buildings shown. Lovely architecture and the facades are so elegant. I can imagine the maintenance on these buildings must be very costly. However, most of these places need to attract tourist as much of the manufacturing has left the country and of course that has produced some horrendous financial problems. I would love to visit Madrid and also San Sebastian. Maybe some day. Kindest Regards, Have a good week. Roger

A beautifully composed photo with the diagonal lines running from the corners and guiding the eye to focus on the centre and those amazing architectural details. Wonderful colours and contrast and you did really well with the sky.

Troubled spanish banks yet to own this marvelous architecture's treasure, Malgo.
The known and fabulous corner of Gran-Via and Calle-de-Alcala, well taken while looking upwards.
It has a most magnificent light at night - but also daylight view is quite attractive.

A good angled pov on this Spanish clocktower. There is a building in Melbourne, Australia that looks similar to this. Melbourne is Australia's most European capital, with Sydney being more American in look & feel. Good shadow detail at right & wonderful sharpness & colour saturation. Tfs!
