Photographer's Note

This is one of my last photos in Luang Prabang. It was just a final photo session in this magic city.

Wat Mai Suwannaphumaham often simply Vat Mai or Wat May is a Buddhist template or wat in Luang Prabang, Laos. It is the largest and most richly decorated of the temples in Luang Prabang.
Built in the 18th century it is located near the Royal Palace Museum.
An emerald Buddha statue sits inside the red-gold interior.

This probably looks very nice in the day, but at night with all the lights on it looks magic. It seems that Luang Prabang has kept its very special atmosphere from long ago.

nice the night view of the Wat in Luang Prabang with its golden colour to make it so impressive and unique.

Hi Serghei,

This photo would make any Laotian proud, especially of the golden color, as you know, they love orange gold colors in the temple. Excellent night shot, the dark sky really bring out the light.

I remember Wat Mai very well...one of the first ornate wats I had seen with my eyes. This night shot details are very nice. The golden colour stands out against the dark night!
