Photographer's Note

Now, this is imposing.

But is it ART ?

Livingstone New Town was so devoid of character or natural features, it was deemed necessary to identify each of four otherwise similar and confusing roundabouts with Public Art, of which this is just one example.

David Wilson was the chosen artist, and built the four giants on a theme, and are all made from reclaimed dyking stone, black whin, yellow limestone and copper.

For more information about the artist read here, or for the project read here.

As the installation is to help drivers who might otherwise be confused by their location, I have included a car, and out of a choice of red, amber or green lights, I naturally chose the photogenic red option.

( Or perhaps, Red for 'Stop ! I want to get off' ! )
