With this title, I was thinking about The Beatles but they are of course just random guys on the street of liverpool. But it was a fun for me to imagine that Beatles could go like this some forty years ago.
I liked to see all traces of Beatles in Liverpool, it is why I went there, but in sixties I was not a special fan of them. I liked their songs but I was quite crazy about Charles Aznavour, he was my idol :). I checked in Google that Aznavour is now 90 and he still plans some concerts! What happened to French song? I do not hear it now.

Great B&W treatment to drive in the The Beatles feel. The old world backdrop emphasizes more on the theme of the photo. Excellent title to a well imagined photo. Thanks for sharing.
Have a nice Sunday.

une scène bien imaginée et bien traitée en N&B.
Bonne photo noir blanc avec contrastes et un impact qui fait remonter le temps.

Interesting point of view and your title is very funny.
i thing that your black and white choice is very good and well in keeping with the title and all the memory of the Beatles (I am fan of them ).The Black and White looks like the sixties style.Like an old photgraph from this these years.
I'm surprised you're a fan of Charles Aznavour(i like him very much too).I think that there are several good french singers now,but it's difficult for them to be knonw out of France if they don't sing in English.
Do you know Laurent Voulzy for exemple.

nice tribute to my favourite band! Love the creativity and originality here and it all works so well in monochrome. It may surprise you but I have never been to Liverpool! As for Charles "hasnovoice" (sorry an English joke) well you are never too old I say! Get along and see him.

hi lakme. i would insist you to keep on presenting your Street photos in b&w, it might be my perception but street photos do gain a stronger character when presented in b&w, i don't know why. here is definitely a beatles mood, replace the 4 heads with the heads of 4 musicians, and it could easily become a photo shown on the newspapers of 60s.

Great idea and timing!
Excellent and attractive black & white picture (that was a good choice too in order to transport us back in time)!
Sharpness, exposure, horizontal format, chosen pov and composition really pleased me!
TFS - congrats,

Avant de lire ton texte, je me disais que cette photo ressemblait un peu aux Beatles du début des années soixante. L'utilisation du noir et blanc ajoute encore plus à cette impression. Très bien fait avec de beaux sujets.

Black and white creates a great mood here. An opportune shot taken on the spare of the moment I guess and a very successful one. The four lads seem quite happy to be photographed. I like the juxtaposition with the people either side. This is an area of Liverpool I used to know quite well.

Even though these are random guys I still get a feeling that they are acting for your camera just for fun. At least two of them seem to be watching you. The B&W treatment recreates an atmosphere of the 60's, and probably not much has changed in this street since then. It's just that these guys are far too old to remind me of the Beatles in those days, and too young to have been the Beatles today (if they had all been alive). Most definitely the popularity of the Beatles and many other artists singing in English have defeated the French artists in the battle of the world of music.

Simple and very attractive street scene. Seeing Liverpool written up there the mind took me to the Beatles too.
Well taken, have a good new week and a Happy New Year.

As soon as I saw your title I knew you were talking of the Beatles. What a great photo, inventive and creative. I love the retro looking suits they wear and the smiles on their faces. Excellent action scene and I really like you B&W shots, which we don't see nearly enough of.
Have a happy New Year dear lady and I wish you lots of travels and beautiful photos in the coming year.

Very unusual to see a black and white post from you, so I find it kind of nice that you try something different. and I think it works really for this shot, it gives the timeless quality, it can be from today or decade agao. It is also like watching and old movie of 4 friendship....Love it.

Excellent snapshot. Monochrome captures the mood of this scene much more than color could. You have created a really strong composition with great light, excellently framed in landscape format. Well done.
Wish you and your family a Happy, Healthy & Prosperous New Year.

I like this very much. A great example of street photography and the b/w conversion works well. The four men are the main interest but I do like everything else that is going on around them.
TFS a super image.
Happy new Year,
macjake (60698) 2014-01-01 5:47
well, 2013 certainly was a big year for you traveling!
Look at all the places and countries you visited, you inspire me to get out there and see the world!!!!!!!
this one is quite different from all of your other photos :)
seems like the men have your attention, they're looking directly at you.
I like the black and white to give it an old time charm and appearance.
Happy New Year, and i can't wait to see where you travel to in 2014
CLODO (31729) 2014-01-07 23:51
Good parallel between your street life picture and the note reminding us the famous fab four! the conversion in B&w is appropriate as a souvenir of the 60's/
Happy new (photographic) year!
