Photographer's Note

I noticed that the gardens of Keukenhof see much more attractive for foreigners than for the Dutch themselves. The views of tulips filed are much more appreciated than the views from Keukenhof. Some TE members living nearby even have never been there. Well, tulip fields you can have for free. But visiting the gardens is imho worth every euro cent (a combi ticket - bus to and from Schiphol and entrance costs 18 euro). The gardens are open only in two months in a year. So there is no need to plant other flowers instead of the bulbs. I can imagine how many people are planning the flower arrangement and how much work is needed to plant and maintain the garden. I haven't seen even one flower that was not in the best moment of blossoming. It seems that you are just in the best time. I do not know how they achieve it. It was my long time dream to go there and I was so happy to go there in sunny day.
Isn't it the enchanted forest?
