Photographer's Note

A little after 9.30 in the morning, "Patmos Star" has brought passengers from Lipsi to Ayia Marina, Leros. Lipsi is a beautiful island, smaller than Leros and very close. Although it's self reliant as far as fish, meat and vegetables are concerned, its inhabitants have to travel to nearby Leros to see doctors, do transactions in banks or the tax office, do their shopping, see relatives who live here now. In the afternoon the boat takes them back to their island.
In the summer the boat takes visitors from one island to the other. Since Leros is the only of the three islands that has an airport, the ferry's times are very convenient for those who wish to procceed from Leros to the other two destinations.
"Patmos Star" makes the itinerary Patmos-Lipsi-Leros and back three times a week. For the other days of the week there are other means.

Thanks for stopping by.
