Avec seulement 4 à 8 cm de pluie par an, le Ladakh a toujours été considéré comme un désert de haute altitude. Au-dessus de 3000 mètres, la période d’exploitation n’étant que de 4 mois, l’essentiel des cultures est l’orge, dont la farine grillée est la base de l’alimentation. On utilise aussi l'orge pour faire la bière locale, le chang.

Bonjour Patrick,

J aime beaucoup ces paysages et ça me fait plaisir de les revoir. C'est vrai que cela ne me déplairait pas de retourner faire un tour au Ladakh.
Une fois n'est pas coutume, ici je regrette un peu le réglage faible contraste qui va si bien à tes autres photos (surtout les portraits). Je jouerais bien sur l'outil 'courbes' en post traitement pour contraster/dynamiser un peu plus ce premier plan de culture.

Hi Patrick,

I like it, very different from you typical shot with people even most of you landscape consist of people doing things. You presented to us this one the wide open landscape of majestic moutnian, the foreground of rich field with golden color and houses in the village under the base of the mountain adds so much charm and human presence without showing anyone. You manage well the strong light, the farm seem maybe just a tiny bit too bright due to the white light but overall really good.

When we had gone the barley crops had been sown...so they were small.

Seeing the landscape here I think this was taken in Khardung village at the base of the world's highest motorable pass...pls correct me if I am wrong!

It is good to see such an interesting landscape. It is hard to imagine growing crops under these harsh conditions. The browns and greens contrast very well with the bare looking mountains. You have created great depth to the picture and wonderful clarity. Excellent work.

incredibile queste culture d'orzo ad una quota così elevata.
Mi piace molto la composizione con questa distesa d'orzo già maturo e sullo sfondo le montagne sovrastate dalle nubi.

j'aime aussi tes -rares- photos de paysage . Remarquable ici , avec ces petits champs d'orge dorés au pied des montagnes ennuagées . Un poil de contraste en plus , comme dit précédemment , n'aurait pas nuis .

même si les couleurs me paraissent un peu pâles par rapport à la réalité( j'ai le souvenir de couleurs plus soutenues et plus contrastées),il faut bien dire que ce paysage cultivé malgré l'aridité,avec les montagnes en toile de fond,est d'une grande beauté, et ne cesse de me fasciner.
