I took the shot this morning in the Lar Valley. After two weeks, we went there again to see the big red poppies growing there in large amount.
In the shot, Damavand, the highest peak in Iran (5671m) is seen in the back ground.
For more information about the roof of Iran (Damavand) and the Lar valley, you can refer to my previous shot .
A shot full of poppies (in Persian: Shaghayegh) is also available in the WS.

I'm right next to you. another really wonderful landscape image, Though the mountain, the roof top of Iran is not as clear but the inclusion of the ruby red poppies adds so much cheerfulness and vibrant colros to this landscape, the veritcal format and the flowers in the foreground also adds depth. Beautiful and natural colors and light. Thanks.

Very beautiful to see the snowcapped Damavand together on the picture with the vivid red poppies and the other warm tones of the plants on the foreground.
Best regards, Paul

very well done!

that's an uncredible landscape and you did a great job on the catch. The low angle and the depth do their work. Love to see those red flowers in the foreground against the beauty of the snowed mountain in the back. Great job!

Salam Atousa. As a child I used to run through fields of poppies and i still feel happy when I see a photo like yours. Here in Australia we have no poppies. Great POV combining the short lived and delicate flowers and the imposing, ancient mountain. Regards. Klaudio.

Nice compo with off centered snowy peak, and a special mention for the close up on these poppies, adding a deep red colour to the scene.
Nice WS too

Excellent vertical composotion with this nice mountain's shot. superb FG with the red poppies which give a greta depht to the image. I like the contrast betewwen this FG and the snow which covered the top of the mountains in the BG.

A beautifully composed picture with the very impressive mountain well placed. The flowery foreground is also well placed in front of the green hills and clearly below the separating line between the green and the blue parts of the composition. Well seen!
adramad (44284) 2010-06-12 11:59
Genial this vertical composition with a large DOF in this picture with the beautiful poppies in the foreground and snow-topped mountain on the background, a very beautiful landscape with fantastic colors, balanced lighting and great image quality. Beautiful image also in the WS.
Have a nice weekend.

Salam Atousa, Beautiful well composed shot with the rich red poppies in the FG & the majestic Damavand in the BG, excellent depth, colour & clarity. A very beautiful view, well captured.

I like this field with the mountains in the BG very much. What a nice pattern on the meadow with the flowers. Excellent job.

I really like the way you composed the photo with Damavand off-center, the poppies in the foreground and the clouds given lots of space. When I opened the workshop, I noticed the flower colors seemed more trus. As I looked at it, I realized the the hillside was lighter so I did a small WS to lighten the FG. Let me know what you think. I tend to go a bit overboard once I get started. :-)

The red poppies capture the eye and lead it to the distant Damavand. Nicely balanced and perfectly composed scene. Tfs, Marlene

Bonjour, cher ami Atousa,
Voir le monde dans un grain de sable, et le ciel dans une fleur sauvage. Tenir l'Infini dans la paume de la main et l'Eternité dans une heure.
Magnifique réalisation. Symbole de la beauté !
Davoud (241) 2010-06-17 21:09
very beautiful shot
sharpness & composition is very good
but your shot has 2 divided part;mountain & Poppies with high saturation & attractive colors; and sky with gloomy mood

The shot is wonderful! I like the big red poppies in the foreground and the beautiful mountain scenery in the background. The colors and DOF are excellent and the low POV is very effective. The Whole scene is nice. I can understand why you would want to go back to take more photographs from this location.

This is a very beautiful picture! The foreground is very nice and colorful, and the background shows us this nice mountain.
It was really a good idea to have these flowers in the foreground.
Angshu (56750) 2010-07-23 8:43
Fine shot with eye popping contrast created with the red poppies, glowing in the sun. The BG of the snow capped paeks makes this shot intersting. Good low POV to compose this shot well!

Lep pogled na prelepe crvene cvetove maka.
Cvetovi maka, zelena polja, planina u snegu i beli obaci na plavom nebu, dobra kompozicija.
Mnogo lepo mesto, prikazali ste odlicnim radom i fotografijom , moje cestitke.
Nice view of the beautiful red poppy flowers.
Poppy flowers, green fields, mountains in the snow and the white Insert the blue sky, good composition.
Very nice place, you show excellent performance and photography, my congratulations.
All the best.

Another attractive photo of this beautiful peak. Having the mountain to the side of the image makes it more mysterious, brooding in the clouds. The poppies are eye-catchig and hence a very good object for this fg. A well composed image.

Spectacular foreground with the rich red poppies and some great details on the other foliage. Spectacular background with the green hills and the snow capped mountain. Very nice, thanks, Iain

A very generous foreground full of poppies. Red against the blue sky leaves a very strong impression on the viewers. A beautiful view. I always like this mountain, it's always covered with snow. Fresh air can be felt. A moment of rest? I wonder what level of altitude exist this kind of stunningly beautiful place full of large poppies.(?)
Very best regards Atousa,
