Photographer's Note
The Lake of Menteith is situated near the town of Aberfoyle in an area of central Scotland known as the Trossachs, and which is renowned for its scenery.
In Scotland, of course, lakes are normally called lochs. The Lake of Menteith is one of the few exceptions to this. In fact Cally Lake and Manxmans Lake are the only two other natural bodies of water in Scotland which are called lakes. In the case of Lake of Menteith it is thought the name has originated form the Lowland Scots name Laich o Menteith, where "laich" means "low place".

Bonjour Finlay,

Bravo

Liked the ripple effect on the waters which conveys the feeling of light wind at the place. Also loved the way the horizon has cut the two hues of blue exactly at the center of the frame. Conveys a very calming effect to the viewer.
