Visiting the caves (for Tyro), a photo from Algarve, South

Photographer's Note

Dans un commentaire d'un post précédent représentant les rochers de Ponta da Piedade , notre ami "Tyro" évoquait un bon souvenir de la visite des grottes et des falaises depuis la mer , avec le voilier "Bom dia" . On peut le voir ici , mouillé près de gros rochers . Les touristes embarquent alors sur une embarcation plus petite , ce qui permet de s'approcher de la côte au plus près et de passer sous les arches . En arrière plan , c'est la Meia Praia , longue plage située entre Lagos et Alvor , et tout au fond , la masse sombre de la Serra de Monchique .

La côte algarve a l'air somptueuse (je me méfie quand même car tout ce qui passe à travers ton œil et ton objectif devient magnifique!). Lumière et couleurs splendides pour cette excellente composition verticale.

Bonjour Denis,
Un type de paysage magnifique dont je me souvenais mal depuis un petit voyage de 15 jours au portugal en 1972. Tu remets à jour ma mémoire. Le point de vue, le format, la netteté donnent une profondeur agréable, comme si on était à ta place. La lumière, les couleurs, les détails sont excellents. Bravo.

This is a beautifully composed photograph with gorgeous rich colours, the yellow/ochre of the rocks nicely complementing the deep blues of sea and sky and with "Bom Dia" placed perfectly in the frame, nestling in the cove below. Perfect exposure, lovely light and exquisite details and sharpness.

Another great holiday picture. Good use of the rocks to create that U-hold below. The boat perfectly place, the small boat returning to the larger one is a good detail. As always, I like the mastery of colours. Fine piece of work again, thanks for sharing it.

Bonjour Denis,
de belles photos du sud du Portugal.
Le soleil qui tape fort sur ces rochers de l'avant plan, font vibrer ces couleurs chaudes de la rocaille.
Ces teintes se distribuent bien avec les bleus.
Beaucoup de profondeur qui donne ce sentiment de liberté.

nice use of the "v" shape made by the rocks to frame the photo.
Again you got a very nice light on the rocks rendering nicelly their details.
Nice to see one of the boats making the trip along coast line allowing to discover some of the hidden pearls along it.

Nice background too, with famous "Meia Praia" and Serra de Monchique.

this is a very well composed picture with the rocks in the foreground providing an impressive frame from which to view the rest of the coast line. the boats provide great scale and context. youhave managed the light and exposed this picture perfectly. and as always the detail and sharpness is superb.

A beautiful location and very well captured. For me, the pov, using the 'v' shaped gap in the rocks, is perfect and links so well with the 3 - the boat and two rocks.
There is a great sense of depth and excellent clarity.

Je ne connais pas du tout le Portugal amsi vu ta série de photos la c^te semble vraiment magnifique. Ici j'aime bien ton POV avec la falaise en "U" et le voilier au milieu. Très belle lumière sur la roche et des teintes chaudes qui contratsnet bien sur la mer.
