My previous shot was taken in a modest eatery in Kyoto. Gert commented that it wasn't really a good example of the cuisine for which Kyoto was famed. So, I am now posting a photo of the sort of food that not only emphasizes Autumn's seasonal flavours, but also presents a sort of Vivaldi's Autumn for the senses, not in musical notes but in colours and delicate shapes echoing the harvest and also the maple trees that were resplendent at that time of the year.

Very well done, TFS.

hi klaudio-san :) again a yummy photo with so much zen in it. i would rather just take a photo of it and would not dare spoiling the artwork, it would feel like eating a painting. nice colors and sharp details.

Thanks for your kind dedication, but you make me sound like I was complaining of the other picture. All I said was I had seen even more beautiful Japanese food ;-). But this certainly looks good, or possibly the presentation of the food and the chopsticks is more tasteful than the food itself. A nice photo in any case. Maybe I should consider a visit to Japan.

divna fotografija, da je pojedeš. Tu je i jedan listić ginka, ako sam dobro prepoznao!!

I'm really mesmerized by this elegant presentation, by the fine textures and the magnificent warm colours against a dark backdrop that enhances their definition and appeal. I'm mesmerized even though I haven't got a hint about the tastes but it's clear that this is a fine gastronomical adventure. I appreciate your attention to composition and lighting as well as to the rendering of a warm and inviting atmosphere. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,

You definitely have a talent for photographing food which is not at all easy. Looks delicious!

ciao klaudio ~
i agree with deniz, it would feel "like eating a painting" (i had to laugh when i read that) to disturb this beautiful still life by actually taking a bite out of it. not only is the arrangement artful, the colors are so rich against your warm brown b/g. kyoto has been on my travel list, but after this, it just moved up a few places.
warm regards, kristin

I rather hear Vivaldi's Spring performed on the Moog synthetiser of the mid-seventies, given the vivid colors on black backdrop, as were by then the soli of raw sounds hurting fragile speakers of by then!
But you can't remember, being too young!
