Photographer's Note

Klein Curaçao (English: Little Curaçao) is an 1.7 km2 uninhabited island south-east of Curaçao in the Caribbean Sea, and is part of the country Curaçao. In 1888, a short-lived German naval base was established on the island as part of Imperial expansion into the German Caribbean, although inclement weather eventually ruined the scheme. The only things on the island are an old lighthouse, beach house, and several huts. Klein Curaçao is well known as a beautiful diving-spot because of its coral and underwater caves.
Klein Curaçao has no permanent inhabitants, only a few palm-frond covered sheds for day trippers from Curaçao, and apart from some coconut palms has little vegetation. But there are some fisherman's huts where the fishermen normally stay for some days. They will get water from the Coast Guard of the Netherlands Antilles. The windward side is a graveyard for boats that did not stay out far enough or lost power. A small tanker, the Maria Bianca Guidesman, is gradually being diminished to rust and dust by the constant pounding of the waves. The remains of another four or five boats are washed far onshore. This is also the site of the island that is a resting place for tons of driftwood, hundreds of flip-flops, and thousands of plastic bottles.

Vedi quando vedo queste spiagge con sabbia eolica e calcare (barriera corallina e microrganismi macinati nel tempo) penso alla mia ...distrutta nei secoli.
Qui tutto segue gli eventi naturali ed un ripascimento continuo mutevole e naturale.
Un'immagine tagliata bene ed una realtà che ti sei goduta .

Emmmammammia Luciano.... ma è vero questo posto? e soprattutto.. ci si può emigrare? :-) le sfumature dal bianco al blu profondo sono incredibili, come anche lo scarso affollamento della spiaggia. credo avrei poche difficoltà di adattamento in un posto così. una foto molto bella, minimalista con colori da ubriacatura da quanto sono stupendi.

Un'immagine da sogno, una spiaggia fantastica, dei colori incredibili. Ma quanto hai smanettato con l'HDR per ottenere tutta questa meraviglia? Adesso posto una foto anch'io e mi piacerebbe dimostrare che, restando in Italia, senza smanettare per niente (non sono capace) si possono trovare spiagge bellissime. Pa-pa-pero, come dicevano i miei figli quando andavano all'asilo.

Une image du paradis ? Si ce n'est pas le cas, c'est en tout cas, une image de rêve. Se glisser dans l'eau chaude, s'étendre sur le sable fin, boire une boisson rafraichissante.
Ta photo a le pouvoir de raviver ces rêves inconscients. La lumière et le bleu extraordinaire sous différents tons sont magnifiques.

Se vedo quando l'hai scattata, quando qui il freddo ci faceva le balle come due fagioli secchi, mi viene ancora più invidia! :-) Credo che foto come questa facciano la felicità di ogni fotografo, ma anche un grande desiderio da parte di tutti di visitare posti come questo. Gran bel scatto, caro Luciano, con una incredibile nitidezza e luminosità e colori da sogno. Mi ci butterei anche subito in questo turchese. Bravissimo!

What a wonderful 'BLUE' shot!
The hues are quite amazing!
I like how you have created a strong f/g triangle of the beach, which also acts as a lead into the shot, towards the straw huts. Very well composed, with the boat strongly positioned and moving into the shot.

davvero bellissimo ed avvolgente il tuo report sulle antille olandesi dove i colori si fondono insieme creando immagini molto vive ed amalianti...
qui il colore bellissimo dell'acqua sembra perdersi e fondersi con quello soffice e candido della sabbia
rilassante e poi in acqua non c'è proprio nessuno che spettacolo per me...

wow this is a pure beauty here.
The beach seems so simple yet this is exactly what makes a perfect beach. Wonderful white sand, so clean so undisturbed and touched with the turquoise waters. Civilisation sees to be somewhere in the distance. It is good to have the elements like the ship and the village on the horizon as they provide some points to focus on without disturbing the purity of the beach in the foreground.
Excellent capture.
Seems like perfect vacations to me.

Je n'avais pas vu cette photo magnifique. J'adore la pureté de la lumière et des couleurs et le cadrage qui laisse une bonne place à la mer et au ciel. Il y a un superbe dégradé depuis le blanc éclatant du sable jsuqu'au bleu du ciel, séparé par cette bande plus sombre.

Hello Luciano. I took the time to look up this island on Wikipedia and found some interesting facts about how deserted it is and how unhabitable it really is. I would love to spend a few days here just to walk along the shoreline just as your photo shows your perspective here. I love the wide open space feeling and wonderful hues in blue. Thanks.
