Exit Glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park, Alaska. It "pours" down from the Harding Icefield, which envelops the high peaks of the Kenai Peninsula. This is the only glacier in the park that visitors can physically walk up to. The rest are tidewater glaciers that require a boat to visit. People are warned not to get too close, since chunks of ice the size of buildings can calve off and crush the unsuspecting tourist.

Hi Rob. Very good composition and the people show the scale of this glacier face. Good clarity and colours. Murray.

Mankind seems small in front of this. Very well angled.

les photos de montagne et de glaciers figurent parmis mes favorites. J'ai eu l'occasion de les approcher en Suisse mais pas d'aussi près malheureusement.
Les personnages donnent toute la dimension du paysage;

Wow! I see this photo was taken in 2002. I must tell you, in just 11 years, this glacier has shrunk significantly. For a second, I didn't recognize it, until I saw the steps leading up to the glacier. The glacier is not even near where those people are standing, and the glacier is nowhere near as tall. Great picture!
