On my second trip to Turkey I made sure to get in touch with Cagla Caglar and Izzet Keribar. Mesut Ilgim couldn't make it due to a prior engagement.
I had a wonderful time with my Turkish friends and Izzet had a treat for us when he decided to take us to a rooftop restaurant so that we could enjoy the scenery. It was a privilege to have such a marvelous view of Istanbul and in particular of Hagia Sophia. And to top it off, the light was enchanting.
I tried to convince Izzet to come back to TE, but he is a very busy man and his photographic genius is in constant demand. He travels the world on different photographic assignments and holds regular lectures.

nice to have read about your trip to Turkey and you having good time there. The view you managed to catch from this balcony is really pretty and different from other Hagia Sofia pictures.
The light you had was very pretty and made the colors warmer and richer. The other buildings in front of the church and some greenery make good foreground for this composition.
Thanks for sharing and enjoy your day

Indeed the light you got is delicious! It would have been good if we also got in touch with Izzet...but knowing his statute, we did not venture.
Fine image of the landmark building from a vantage location!

Hi dear Klaudio,
You're capturing well this architecture by a good angle and very excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the tasteful Hagia Sophia with dome roof and four towers. It looks like the masterpiece of Islamic construction. And, it harmonizes beautifully with the surrounding greenery and blue sky.

Koji krasan pogled... Pity parts of Aya Sofia were under renovation but that certainly wasn't your fault... Even the sky cooperated for a great photo...

I was going through your gallery as I have missed many shots and this one caught my eye. You have managed to get great clarity here and the light on this iconic building certainly brings out its beauty. I like that you chose a vertical format to include the lovely clouds and sky as well as some of the interest on the foreground. I see that it was under restoration but it does not detract too much.

I'm very glad by your criticisms on my photos,Thanks a lot, because I consider you a great photographer. ;-)).
The photos in your gallery are like a feast for me. It's hard to know which one to pick to critique as one after the other is so good?
But I settled on this one because there is something about mosques which fascinates and enthrals me.
I like the amazing architecture of the image, this universal icon of mosque Hagia Sophia.
You have done exceedingly well with the light, the definition and its amazing details.
A superb shot, beautifully finished off with a frame that is subtle and complements the image nicely.
Thanks for sharing, un abbraccio.
PS: I have a photo exposed in my gallery, done from the terrace of the same place, the hotel of our trips to Istanbul. :-)))
