Its ironic to say that i hiked UP to this Lighthouse, but yet i'm showing you a photo thats looking DOWN.
Its a steep climb up to get here, but as you reach the top there's an almost vertical drop down to the ocean, and thats where the lighthouse is.
I think using the ultra wide angle lens makes that distance seem even longer and more pronounced too.
While I was up here, i met a local lady with her dog, and took a few photo of them together on this peak at the cliffs edge - she loved it :)
So i emailed her the photos and she really appreciated them, that was really fun :)
Hope you enjoy this cliff view.

I like the wide angle view very much and the play of light across the rocks. Great symmetrical composition, made all the more so by the lovely tones and textures to be seen in the rocks. The lighthouse stuck on the end is a bonus.

Your downwards point of view and wide angle shot provide strong depth and perspective to the scenery, using the converging lines of the cliff to draw in the viewer to the lighthouse which looks so tiny. Nice glimpse of the ocean in the background to make a good contrast to the brown rocks. Well spotted.

This is a rather funny photo and a very unexpected view. I would have imagined they should put the lighthouse somewhere high up, but then of course you would not have got the same incentive to climb the steep rock. Seeing the lighthouse from above was clearly worth the effort.

this is a marvellous picture which immediately attacts with the dynamism of its perspective, its sweeping depth and brilliant lighting. After the fascination of the first look and after we get used to the height, it's delightful to watch and study the textures and the amazing richness of hues all the way to the lighthouse. I also love the colour and the sheen of the sea. A picture with extraordinary vividness. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,

I think, this point of view was a typical touristic sightseeing place. But I like your high quality photo work! Impressive scale of the rocks, good sharpness.

Hello Craig, quite an image here..Pretty unusual, but a very pleasant composition. The road looks pretty rough, you were very courageous to climb up there. Good work!

The view is amazing. The light house reminds me of one of the two at Cape Point in South Africa. It seems to be a great day with fine weather conditions providing the great light!

Interesting composition taken from this high POV. I like the result!
All the best!

mi viene il capogiro a guardare questa foto.
Una bella serie di triangoli che portano fino al mare e con il faro al vertice del triangolo più grande, inquadratura originale e ben realizzata.

While the lighthouse unquestionably makes sense where it is, the view itself is unexpected. The pole at the bottom of the frame really expresses the angle of this shot, straight down, and the wide angle lens is masterfully used to express that height and distance. It must have been a breathtaking view all around!

What a refreshingly different way to see a lighthouse, this is certainly a unique presentation...and I quite like what you've done, the climb paid off. Great choice of the wide angle, it really enhances the perspective, almost feels like one wrong step and you're on your way down, the hard way!? Well conceived!

You know that this isn't good for my vertigo!
But a great picture, quite different from your usual - which, of course, just goes to show that you can photograph just about anything successfully!
Did you really climb up over all those steep rocks we can see between here and the lighthouse? And were you leaning out over this rusty metal frame thing when you took this one?
That super wide "city" lens of yours is obviously quite at home by the sea too and has given you a wonderfully exaggerated perspective. Lovely symmetrical composition, gorgeous colours and exquisite details and sharpness throughout.

Un cadrage spectaculaire dont l'effet est renforcé par l'utilisation de ton grand angle. Très bien fait!

The photo is so made that it is difficult to imagine the scale. The lighthouse looks so tiny, like a toy. Interesting triangular composition. Vertical drop, not something for me and John. Nice view of the ocean.
It reminds me a bit the Cape Point.

It is not common to have above point of view to do lighthouse shot. It is for a big part in the interest of this shot. Then, of course the strong perspective given by the very wide angle lens and the full deep of field.
I would have perhaps not include the iron fence inside the frame, but I admit its colors is aligned with the ones of the stones, so it is not disturbing when looking the shot.

Well well...this is true original POV! I love the result, spectacular capture.

A very interesting view of this lighthouse. Quite an unusual angle and POV to capture a lighthouse. Fine effect of the wide angle lens. The rocky shore for sure looks good and adds drama to the scene, and the blue sea adds a nice touch of colour contrast. Very nice work:)
Best regards, Erling

une belle vue en plongée sur ce rocher et ce phare en bout de "course" et la mer bien bleue autour
superbe prise de vue

Although the lighthouse looks small at the far end of the frame, but that reflects the depth of field and angular symmetry of the composition.Good lighting and dof with nice details. Well done, TFS.

the POV looking downwards in combination with your wide-angle lens gives spectacular result. The lighthouse looks more like a toy from this perspective.Definitely it´s not the place for someone with vertigo:)Again you took advantage of your wide-angle lens to create something original.Eye-catching scene!
Have a nice weekend

Amazing place for a lighthouse, that looks quite scarry. Great POV and perspective, giving a real sense of distance and height. Impressing photograph.
have a good time

a very original composition here. Very wide and deep view with great DOF. The foreground became so dominant which results in an interesting effect. I have to say as well that I prefer the version with Tosca in it as a person enhances a feeling of scale as well.
Have a great weekend,

the perspective is awesome here! I like the image with the lighthouse in that position, you had a good idea, well done,

This is an unusual shot for your Galery. ONe that I like alot, but not one I've seen before from you. I love the strong colours and textures and also how everything seems to be pointing in an arrow towards the lighthouse. Everything is superbly sharp and well contrasted.
Thanks for sharing

thought you were in Brittany!
Good pov, the rocks forming a triangle and leading the eye to the tiny lighthouse.

looks as the last light on the western time-zone, Craig.
beautiful shot taken from high point over, placed the tower precisely in mid pic.'s, red & white to be noticed at sea.
Fine taken, nice note.
