Photographer's Note

An other point of view on the wonderful Hengifoss waterfall. I chose a vertical orientation for this one and made a 4 seconds exposure thanks to a grey filter.

The rivier on Hengifoss waterfall and on Litlanesfoss waterfall downstream flows into the Lagarfljót lake, south of Egilsstaðir. This lake is the icelandic Loch Ness because it is said a monster lives in the lake as it is the case in the famous scottish lake. This icelandic monster may be a lot older that the icelandic one since it was seen for the first time a long time ago, in 1345. Not long ago, in 2012, a 67 years old farmer filmed the monster and posted this video on the internet. Convincing, isn't it ?
