Har Ki Pauri (Devanagari: हर-की-पौडी) is a famous ghat on the banks of the Ganges in Haridwar in Uttarakhand state in India. This revered place is the major landmark of the holy city of Haridwar. Literally, "Har" means "Lord Shiva", "ki" means "of" and "paudi" means "steps". Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu are believed to have visited the Brahmakund in Har ki Paudi in the Vedic times. There is a large footprint said to belong to Lord Vishnu on a stone wall. Har ki Pauri

Nice colorful shot. The temple is shown very effectively and nicely. Somehow I feel the camera was a bit tilted towards left. Its totally fine if it was intentional. Overall nice work.

A colorful city corner with good light on the main buildings and as usual in India many people around, it tilts a bit to the left
Have a nice day JY

Namaste Nilotpal Patra,
such an attractive and colorful composition. The details of the particular architecture are well visible thanks to the efficient sharpness and the natural lighting. I like the tight framing and to see some blue in the sky. Great work!

I know this Ghat, I have been there many times. Haridwar, the best momory I have is the Purna Khumb I covered in 1986 there. One week I have been there together with a journalist friend from Indian Express. Was a great time. WE came back many times, it's a nice place. Fine composition of the buildings above the Ghat with vibrant color hues and high sharpness. WEll done
Thanks for your critique of my interior shot of the clan temple in Penang. No it is not gold, but gold color.

This is the sort of memory I conjure up when I think back on my trip to India 20 years ago - busy, colourful, eclectic - and just truly wonderful.
Thank you, a great shot, Iain
