The rustic charm of Orissan village life.
The pathways lead to the Ghat where people ferry to the hillock-island where they worship a magnificent temple dedicated to Hindu God Shiva, built in 7th century AD.
The temple archtecture is amazingly similar to the 8th century 'Parashurameshwar' temple in Bubaneshwar, the state capital.
The old lady seen here is plucking flowers to go to the temple. The oldman perhaps is on his way to the banks for a bath.

I am a bit puzzled with this image, it shows riverbank, a woman and old man, but the woman's face is in too much shadow to lose details and the old man's figure is much too distorted by pp work, he looked much less like a man but more like a plant [compare to green plant at FG].
I suppose the pp work effect is much overdone with contrast, saturation and sharpening. I am unable to rate a photo like this, it would be zero but I will just put NR here. The repost is not working quite the way it should.
In fact, I look at the original version, it is not much better, underexposed, low resolution or contrast and really lacking in good composition, and really difficult to recover.
Greetings from Borneo.

The composition is good, but the picture suffers from PP. IMO, converting the original to B&W or sepia would have made this better, especially the man in the BG. Try it even in Picassa & do let me know
