Photographer's Note

A common scene on a New Zealand sheep farm. Newly shorn sheep await treatment for parasites, such as lice, keds, ticks, worms etc. in a race leading to stock yards. In the background is the woolshed where these animals have been shorn. This is the high country sheep station (as these large farms are called in NZ) of Flock Hill in Canterbury.
