Les trixhes située sur les hauteurs de Flémalle
Que l'on s'éloigne de l'industrielle vallée de la Meuse et l'on découvre des exploitations
agricoles, des bois et aussi des réserves naturelles.Des dizaines de promenades conduisent à travers près et champs à des hameaux pittoresques.
Il est 16h30 quand le soleil se couche sur les champs de Flémalle.

Bonsoir Christiane,
am I mistaken or is the horizon line slightly tilted?
I'm looking at the photo and wondering: actually, this tilt (if there is any) only emphasizes the dynamic effect which is created by the thin long diagonal rows on the snowy surface and the clouds the pattern of which is somehow similar to the pattern of the snow on the ground :)
I love the combination of colours: blue (or, rather, bluish) and orange-yellow :) It's always an impressive effect!

PS. As far as my photo-experience shows, it is always difficult to capture such scenes - when the sun is shining directly into your eyes (and the camera's ;)), which often changes the true colours: you see it one way, in the photo it appears in a different way..

Dear Cri Cri- what a lovely evening setting. your low POV on the ground picks up the ploughed lands below the snow carpet. The inclusion of the dark fence giving good depth to the image- the sky is beautiful- they are promising sunny and ice cold days tomorrow - so looking forward to great photographic opportunities - have a great weekend Rich

Hello Christiane,
this is one of the loveliest snow pictures. A great composition with the dark trees on one side and the brilliant sunset on the other. Extraordinary sharpness outlines the delicate branches and airy clouds against the vivid blue of the sky and the texture of the ploughed snow all over the vast landscape. It also gives depth and an interesting and mysterious view through the tress expanding the picture. I love the blue hue on the snow. A wonderful photo, congratulations!

Bonsoir Christiane,

It looks bone chillingly cold in this shot of a field in Liege. We've had a mild winter so far, but there is plenty of time to change. I like the composition with the sunlit sky representing half of the image, and the dark trees and blue sky the other half.

Bonjour Christiane,

Je choisis la lumière. Le soleil qui se couche sur la neige semble illuminer seulement qu'une moitié de l'image, le bois restant résolument dans l'ombre.

Au premier abord, je trouve ce cliché plein de défauts, pas assez ceci ou cela, ou trop ...mais en définitive j'y reviens encore et encore et mon regard ne peut s'en détacher, passant d'un plan à l'autre, d'une luminosité à l'autre bien guidé par ces lignes courbes qui nous ménent dans ce cliché, dont l'exposition est parfaitement adaptée.

En définitive, c'est une vrai réussite, félicitations!

Bonsoir, chère amie Cricri,
un titre très adéquat, réellement l'image est un joli jeu entre la lumière et l'ombre, avec un très fort contraste.
Les tonalités du coucher de soleil sur les nuages créent un joli effet chromatique, et la perspective des arbres ajoute une grande profondeur à l'image.
Un beau paysage couvert de neige dans cette composition.

Bonjour Cricri,

Le contraste le plus beau se manifeste dans l'image. Le ciel bleu et les couleurs du coucher du soleil, et tous les arbres en silhouette, ils viennent tous ensemble dans la manière la plus exquise. La texture sur le sol enneigé est le plus intrigant. L'ambiance de cette photo nous touche dans le plus doux chemin. Magnifiques couleurs et les nuances, la scène est très poétique. J'aime bien l'image.

Salut Cricri! Superb light management! The colors are simply fantastic as well as the rugged textures that the snow creates. I really liked the photo you've done in the Workshop as it gives a nice glow to the snow and illuminates the dark details on the trees. perhaps a blending of those two images would be perfect for me. Great work!
