Photographer's Note

This is the eigth out of twelve entries. Here a street in Fener. On those hilly parts of the city, it was not possible to put an asphalt street, therefore a better solution was to use those granite cubes; which -as you can see- creates allways nice graphical effects. This was the first TE-Meeting I attented.

On a wonderfull sunny day, we all walked around in the narrow streets of old İstanbul, climbing uphill, downhill. And made many wonderfull captures.
This is my part. Hope you'll like them.

Bu kare de son TE buluşmasının siteye yollayacağım oniki kareden sekizincisi. Fener sırtlarından bir sokak görüntüsü. Bu dik yokuşları asfaltlamak hem çok zor, hem de kış aylarında kayma tehlikesi oluşturduğundan buralarda hale granit paket taşları sokak kaplaması olarak kullanılıyor. Bu benim katıldığım ilk TE grup çalışması oldu. Aşağıdaki sevgili TE dostları ile ;

Nefis güneşli bir günde, eski İstanbul'un sokaklarında dolaştık; tepelere tırmandık, tepelerden indik. Pek çok güzel fotoğraf çektik.

Comme Isabela tu mets aujourd hui une photo des paves d Istanbul... j aime beaucoup avec au centre la plaque d evacuation de l eau, cela donne une image tres graphique.

Mesut bonjour.
C'est une belle photo sur les pavés avec une lumière qui met en valeur les lignes et les surfaces.

Bu taşlar üzerinde kimbilir kaç yüz yıldan beri insanlar gelip geçiyor,oysa asfalt zemin belediyeler için sürekli bakım ve masraf gerektiren iş ,aralıklı taşların tek sakıncası yüksek ökçeli hanımların topuklarını bozması herhalde.Işığın güzel kullanımı ile S/B çalışmanız bu nostaljik taşlara çok yakışmış ,elinize sağlık

j'aime beaucoup de genre de photo.;
Celle la est très belle. Cependant dommage que l'on voit un morceau en haut à droite de ton image..

Elle représente bien le parcour des membres de Te pour se réunir sur le pavé d'Istambul, comme si la grille représentait le point central de votre réunion.

kadrajın herbir yanından ortadaki mazgala doğru çok hoş bir derinlik hissi katmışsınız..siyah beyaz daha etkileyici olmuş..

bu tam bana göre mesut bey, parke döşemenin dokusu göz alıcı, mazgalın katkısı ise nefis... belki yeni makinaya tam adapte olamdığımdan o gün çektiğim fotoğrafları birşeye benzetemiyorum bir türlü... mecburen eskilere kaldık yine...

Wonderful textures and details to these beautiful old granite squares that lead to the old sewer grate. Excellent b&w composition with great flavor of the old city.

The pattern of the cobbles creates a good rhythm and the vertical format draws our eye into the composition. Stone cobbles similar to these were common in the very steep streets of my area of the North of England so these look rather familiar to me!

Mesut,
completely minimalistic and yet full of originality and meaning. I love the texture and movement towards the drain a lot. The B&W really makes the whole image focus on the texture and that is probably the most important aspect of this shot anyway.

cadrée de cette manière, la photo rend cette scène quotidienne très graphique, l'originalité du cadrage est la clé de cette photo.
