The Pitts Special (company designations S1 and S2) is a series of light aerobatic biplane designed by Curtis Pitts. It has accumulated many competition wins since its first flight in 1944. The Pitts biplanes dominated world aerobatic competition in the 1960s and 1970s and, even today, remains a potent competition aircraft in the lower categories. Hello Eleu,

The contrasting colors of the Pîtts are eye striking. Your shot shows 2 different positions of the airplanes which gives a sense of fast action. Colors and sharpness are excellent under this perfect sky.

Hello Eleu,

Here the smoke trails are just as important to the composition as the biplanes themselves. A wonderful blue sky backdrop with good sharpness & framing. I like the opposing tilts of the 2 planes. Tfs!

I'm sure people will tell you that the red one reminds us of Snoopy and the Red Baron :)

these colourful planes look lovely as they are darting across the frame, their brilliant colours so vivid in the sunlight. I also love the bright colour of the sky. Their different positions are a very interesting aspect of the composition. I'm always in awe when there is sight of the cockpits and the pilots in your photos. This one is great, thank you!
