Photographer's Note
While in Egypt we cruised through the beautiful Nile for three days and one of our stops was at a city called Edfu where we visited this ancient egyptian temple named after the city itself.
Most ancient egyptian temples have very large and beautiful columns. Above all the most amazing aspect of the columns are the carvings they exhibit to tell stories of their way of life.
They truly provide us with a window to the past.
An amazing place and I would highly recommend it to any keen traveler.

A very dramatic atmosphere is created by the light and the colorof the stone. You have managed very well the light and the colors, and also the framing is excellent.
Very well done.

Gidday Pranil,
The ancient Egyptian temple has been captured with an excellent composition and colour in spite of a difficult lighting condition. Relief on columns also is expertly rendered. Beautiful work with 21.1MP full frame sensor.
Best wishes, Hisashi

Hi Pranil,
you obviously know what you are doing with your camera. I remember this shot from when you posted it last week. It's a good sign when a photo gets printed in other people's mind and they remember it. So good job!
I like the play of strong light and shades here. you managed your exposition perfectly to keep details in both.
The columns are huge and make a story on their own...You have to find a secondary story to tell with it. Find something happening in the foreground maybe? To make it appear more dynamic. I mean, use your amazing background (columns and amazing light) as a backdrop...
Anyway, I love this. Keep going!

Hello Pranil,
A most effective vertical format, the provided image has a wonderful soaring quality. Lovely colours and a perfect management of light attract the viewer. Detailed rendition is flawless. I wonder what is contained in the cubical boxes at the feet of those great columns? Human figures provide us with an excellent sense of scale. A mystery of this ancient civilization is presented with a very realistic and straightforwardness. Thank you for this very rare view.
With my sincere wishes,
Have great days ahead, Pranil
Nobu.
