Photographer's Note
Here's another picture from Old Zealand, that watery province in the southern Netherlands, that gave us those brave seafaring explorers of yesteryear as well as the first dictionnary of the Dutch language. It's just across the border from Antwerp, making it one of our favourite places for a day out. It can be windy, though.
---
This picture was taken on the beach at Domburg. The lines of wood are wave breakers. They are old and worn, but still do the job. Sometimes I feel like I'm a wave breaker too.

"Millions of us in love, promises made good
Your own flesh and blood
Looking for some truth, dancing with no shoes
The beat, the rhythm, the blues
The pounding of your heart's drum together with another one
Didn't you think anyone loved you?
See what you lost when you left this world,
this sweet old world
See what you lost when you left this world,
this sweet old world"
- Lucinda Williams

Good perspective! But what is in fact the cherry (or should I say cherries) on the cake happen to be the two persons walking away from each other at different distances from the viewer. Can even be a cover of a music album :-)...lovely!
Have a great WE

Excellent POV and very artful DOF Benny. Wonderful light management and color saturation and with fine detail to clarity and sharpness. I love the old post lines and believe or not, I really like the ruffed up sand in from of you where you were standing. Great Job Benny!!

hi Benny,
the two person gives the necesary depth,
and the atmospher...
the outgoing lines to the endless sea, the empty space, the people, going in different directions -
very good to the poem

Hi Benny,
I like this vertical version as well. Lots of depth. And the two characters are definitely a good addition.

Hello Benny,
My attention was caught when seeing this picture in the thumbnail. It is minimalist and graphism when a good feeling of depth thanks to the effect of the perspective shared by the pieces of wood. We could image a former pier going deeper over the sea, even if their use is more 'real'.
I like the piece of poetry given by the two lonely walkers opposed in the depth, by the frontier and going in opposite direction.
Yves.

Hi Ben,
Our lattest photo seem to be from the beach. I like the overall composition but I am not sure of those men walking out of the photo. You have also burned the detail on those waves. The cropping however is superb.

Hi Benny
Thks to your narratives guiding us through. An intriguing shot especially the repetition of the brave groynes that draw the eyes in to the surging wave in the far end, and the symmetry coupled with the angle & colour make for a very effective shot. Impressive composition, perspective and tremendous depth you have created, this definately eye catching! Extremely well captured with the two guys as ref points. I'd be more than pleased with this. Congrats
Warm regards

Hello Benny
Seen from that angle, those historic stakes can be taken for markers of a ghostly landing site related to dissapparences stories in Bermuda Triangle!
Intense depth enliven of human interest and of course, sharp depiction from under toes to infinity!
Cheers.

Une séparation aurait été le titre que j'aurai choisi ... C'est ceci que m'évoque cette scène. Une composition superbe et j'aime ce bateau au loin. Une photo qui laisse imaginer des milliers d'histoires ...
