Photographer's Note
Hello Everyone,
This pretty, traditional stone cottage is situated in the small, North Yorkshire village of Cropton. It has many stone cottages, some with delightful names such as 'The Watchmaker's Cottage', 'Corner Cottage' and 'High Bank', which all seem to tell a story in their own right.
This lovely cottage, with its matching door and gate, was just opposite the Cropton Brewery and, as my husband would say, should have been called 'The Perfect Location'.
Although taken in March, the weather was particularly warm and sunny. People were dining outside, almost unheard of in England, at this time of year!
Many thanks for stopping by and sharing my memories, Bev :-)

Hello Beverly,
Great picture of this cottage.
I like the composition made by the diagonal and the door is in the right position. Well balanced due to the white gate. Lot of sharpness and beautiful colours. The polarizer does its job well.

Hello Beverley
I hope you escaped unscathed from the recent storms & flooding. Nice blue sky here with good sharpness and textural details in the stone fence & old ivy covered wall. Excellent framing & perspective. Have a nice sunny week!

Hi Beverley
Belle prise de vue du mur typique de vielles pierres tout comme la façade, les fenêtres , porte et barrière sont plus récentes, jolies touches de vert sous un beau ciel bleu, très belle présentation
Belle soirée

Hi Beverley.
Lovely composition with this beautiful home, I like the diagonal cut that gives the eaves of the same, no doubt the picture will be more beautiful when plants that climb up the facade with green leaves.
A beautiful sunny day, which gives a wealth of color and sharpness.
Well done.
Have a nice day.
Best regards.
Luis.

Good evening Beverly,
Clearity is super here, I can count all the bricks on fence and edifice.
White color is in good ballance to the grey/brown dominating tones.
Ciao

Hello Bev,
Lovely memories of just a few weeks ago, especially as you poor folk in England are now suffering such bad weather. Though I presume it's not so bad in your neck of the woods as it is in the southwest.
A lovely village scene and a lovely cottage, beautifully portrayed against a gorgeous deep blue sky. The composition is excellent with the inviting white gate perfectly placed in the frame and the lines of the garden wall and the roof complementing each other. Lovely colours, perfect exposure and excellent detail and sharpness.
And what better location than just across the road from a little country brewery! I think Len and I would get along just fine!
Lovely!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hi dear Bev
Wow, book me a seat. There really is nothing like sipping a beer in the English sun (that's when it's around of course). You've shown us a very quaint part of England, something that it's so famous for. The architecture, the light and the sharpness are all superb. Great work, and many more sunny days for you!
Cheers
Lisa

Hi Bev,
I like the parallel lines we see along the little roof and in the gate. A very pleasant view and the location could not have been better, with a brewery across the street!
Kind regards
Gunnar

ciao Beverley,
mi piace questo angolo che hai ben colto.
Muretto di pietre e cancello bianco che creano una buona prospettiva con l'albero ancora spoglio,
saluti
maurizio
