These photos were taken in the forst day of this year. Yes, I've met New Year in Copenhagen. See in WS another photo of Nyhavn.
But times gonna fly and I think abot meeting of next year.
Nyhavn is a 17th-century waterfront, canal and entertainment district in Copenhagen, Denmark. Stretching from Kongens Nytorv to the harbour front just south of the Royal Playhouse, it is lined by brightly coloured 17th and early 18th century townhouses and bars, cafes and restaurants. Serving as a "heritage harbour", the canal has many historical wooden ships.

Easily one of my all time favorite cities!! I want to go back and visit sooner than later.
The compo of looking straight against the row of houses works well here especially with all those repetitive windows.

very nice old architecture here, like Old Town in Gdansk. Fine POV you had, I like the composition with sailboat on FG. Pity that sky was pale.
Have a nice evening.

Nice visual of the Copenhagen canal front with the sleek yacht in the foreground, and the multi-colored classical housing background.
PS: My first digital camera was a Sigma SD 14 and I ended up replacing it with a Canon because I had damaged the sensor from too much dust.

There wasn't much of a sky on this dull day, but the light grey upper part makes a fine contrast to the almost black water. These neutral colours make the brightness of the buildings look even more appealing by giving them a very nice mild but still strong tone.

une belle présentation de l'architecture de Copenhague, avec le canal et ses bateaux.

A nice line of facades along the canal boat moored at the dock, get a nice maritime feel to the composition.
Despite the gray day, the color is very nice.
Sensational sharpness and brightness.
Good start to the week.

Hello again Serghei,
Sometimes people don't like cloudy skies, but in this photo the winter sky helps all of the colors jump out even more. I like all the rows of windows and the different facades. That boat is also nice. :-) Enjoy the new week!

Looks like I missed a few "Return" shots over the weekend!? This one stands out though because of the colors and multitude of windows, it's like a giant checkerboard of shape and color. Even under a flat sky, there's a lot of bright material to work with here, and this composition suits it very well, stretching the interest from side to side. I imagine there are endless photo opportunities along the canals to capture something like this. It may not have been summer, but it's still a fun memory to look back on during the cold winter, yeah? :)
Wishing you a great week ahead my friend.
Cheers from the Western Hemisphere,

This is the second picture I've seen today that has made me say this, but if I had a big bucket of Lego right now, I would rebuild this scene! A beautiful shot head onto the building showing the architecture and range of colors perfectly, while taking in the all important waterfront location.
Thanks as always Serghei,

Telle une carte postale, merveilleuse couleurs variés des façades, j'aime beaucoup le POV présenter sur celle en WS, très belles réalisations

The first thing that catches the eye in this photo is the variety of the colors of the row-houses. The second thing is the baby-blue Fiat 500C (heh-heh, you thought I was going to say "the yacht," didn't you?). Those red roofs are the crowning touch.

Hi Serghei, Beautiful composition, place is documented beautifully in your thin bordered and simple frame.
