Photographer's Note
We stay for a while in Chanderi and why not, it was such a colourful town that we stumbled upon. We met these young tribal girls outside the Jama Masjid. They were very photogenic and enjoyed playing models, it was late in the day and the light was kind us.
I believe they are Kanjar, a wandering community who do not live in the town permanently but establish temporary shelters from June through October.

Hi Elaine
A beautiful double portrait of these young girl. Nice colored clothes, 2 deep and different looks with wonderful eyes. One seems serious and I like how she opens her veil. The second looks melancolic and dreaming.

Hi Elaine,
You write that they were enjoying playing models but they look so sad, almost like crying. beautiful dresser, different than in other parts of India. I like the way the girl play with her hands.

Hello Elaine.
A marvellous portrait style photo which immediately draws one's attention to the eyes of these girls. I do like the fact that one is looking slightly away from the camera. And the way the other is lifting her shawl - such a delicate touch. The rough brickwork makes a good contrast with the beautiful patterns and colours of their clothing. Lovely picture and good note.

Hi Elaine
Very much enjoyed the way you moved down to their eye-low level to capture these gorgeous young girls. Surely great encounters in this beautiful part of India, composition is wonderful, a lovely moment well caught and the emotions in the faces of these adorable innocents is astounding. What lovely models you have here but her smile and the expressions, intensity and yet calm appraising look draw the eyes in and their clothings provide such great contrasting colors.
I feel that those eyes have the effect of connecting strongly with viewers and lovely catch lights on the eyes The light and and toning you have managed is superb. Truly a very charming and engaging image, a tender moment you have caught it beautifully.I applaud your efforts. Congrats, TFS
Warm regards.
