Photographer's Note
View of part of the castle moat.
The building is rectangular.
The castle defines a courtyard. Southwest, overlooking a terrace that defines a wrought iron gate, I note that the gates have not been maintained for many years.
I regret not having had time to visit the interior, In spite having a free entrance.

Ciao Didi,

bravo, bien vu.
Cordialement.

Bonjour, cher ami Didi,
Josep

Good Morning Didi,
Your photograph shows the strength of these buildings; it would have been difficult to attack it openly!
A nice sharp exposure with clear leads. I do like how the sun is hitting the far turret, brightening its colours and creating that lovely reflection in the moat.
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Bonjour Didi,

Hi Didi, It is a pity you had no time to enter. But from outside it looks very interesting and you could make nice picture (without stitching??). Excellent composition with converging lines, nice colours, pleasant view in early spring.

Salut Didi,

Bonjour, cher ami Didi,

Hello Didi,
An interesting note - but what a pity you didn't have time to explore the interior of this fine building!
You have a very fine composition here and I note that the tower of the castle is echoed by the similar square tower of the church in the distance. Lovely natural colours, excellent lighting, perfect exposure and exquisite details and sharpness.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.

A wonderful blue sky that contrasts so well against the red brick façade of the castle & its walls. Nice subtle impressionist reflections & superb sharpness & saturation. The wall at right balances the compo & adds perspective. Bon weekend!

Hello Didi,
this is a lovely and interesting photo, very pleasant to look at because of the great balance you've achieved in lighting and perspective. I like very much the way this view is framed and the balance between the long straitght and short diagonal surfaces of the sides. The dirt road adds depth and together with the trees lifts up the left side of the composition to match the height of the rigid wall. Lighting is excellent both on sunlit and shady areas. The capture of textures is superb and colours are lovely. Well done and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely week,
Ourania

Hello Didi - What a magnificent castle, the two images you have posted give an excellent feel for the size and beauty of the building. In this shot the craftsmanship of the builders is very well displayed in the decorative patterns woven into the brickwork. I like your POV very much with the strong lines of castle walls and moat being nicely contrasted by the soft reflections and stand of trees. Have a good week and warmest regards rosemary

Cher Didi
This lovely photo conjures up images of the chevaliers, the old kings and old battles fought over the castles. If these walls could only speak. Beautiful rich colours and tones, excellent management of the light and a nice perspective created by the wall positioned as it is. Congratulations and I wish you a beautiful day.

I like the perspective created by the moat. The turret at the end of the wall is a fine focal point. I also like how a window is created by the turret & the tree on the right to look at the cathedral structure in the far BG. Flawless stitching as always!
