Photographer's Note

After three years here in this new account and besides all modifications and many friends had left here I note that I still like the site.
Today I upload my 400th photo a nice number, so I choose the photo I most like from my last travel: Buzios.
Thanks for all comments, critiques and for the many friends that visit here.

Turtle Beach

Golden sand beach and 2km in length, the Turtle Beach is surrounded by virgin native forest (Atlantic Forest) providing an atmosphere of adventure and being one of the prettiest in Buzios.

Cove of crystalline, calm and warm waters, ideal for the spawning of three species of sea turtles, giving the beach name.

The place is wonderful for activities such as windsurfing, snorkeling, banana boat, kayaking and still being an obligatory stop for all boat tours.

About Buzios
Búzios, is a resort town and a municipality located in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Once the preserve of pirates and slave traders, the peninsula of Búzios, has become a tourist destination with over 20 beaches in the vicinity.

The peninsula was popularized by legendary movie star Brigitte Bardot in the 1960s, and her statue sits along the main street of Búzios, the Rua das Pedras (Street of stones).

Buzios is a beach resort with an active nightlife and restaurants. The west coast beaches offer calm, clear waters while the east coast ones, facing the open sea, are a bit more wild and draw surfers and water sports enthusiasts. Among the most popular beaches are Ferradura, João Fernandes with several bars and known for its seafood, Armação, and Geribá, popular for surfing. The beach of Manguinhos is known for windsurfing. Rua das Pedras, the main street, winds through the town center and features shopping, restaurants, bars and comprehensive nightlife.

Hi Andre,
Beautiful shot with lot of beauties..:)
I like the V shape generated by the upper edge of the clouds and the shoreline. Very estethic compositional detail. Proportions of landscape and the sky is also well balanced in my opinion.

What a long time ago, but congratulations for your 400th picture on TE.
A lovely summery picture, a lot people on the beach care for a nice daily life shot.

You're a brave man to bring your camera to the beach! Thats something i always worry about, being looked at as a creepy man photographing women in bathing suits! It seems to be ok if its a woman with the camera, but not when you're a man.

anyways, a strong photo, clear, sharp, colorful and bright. a nice way to celebrate #400

Congrats on your 400th post, today was my 100th; I still have a ways to go for sure. I agree that it's sad to see beautiful photos of people that no longer post, but let's hope that they have found a new and exciting path in their journey of life.

Excellent capture of turtle beach, showing daily life with beach walkers, swimmers and boat craft of different shapes and sizes. Stunning DOF and with superb clarity. Color saturation is perfect and natural and the light management is fantastic, for I know sometimes that beach sun can be so darn harsh at times, so bravo on many levels. Playful and spirited POV which I admire greatly, wonderful presentation Andre!!
