Fantastic image with this channel and the line of boats ready to sail, the composition has a good depth to the distant home and closing the channel bottom. Good lighting and a nice color.

a beautiful view shot on water,
right old houses and left lined boats are making wonderful perspective on water,
old tasteful colors on the wall and new colorful boats and flowers are well contrasted,

Hello Ike, This is a very colorful shot and your use of the canal is well chosen. I like the depth here with the boat futher down and then the end with the building in the background. Very nice job. Regards, Roger

Dobar dan, kod nas su pocele vrucine.
Lepo secanje na jedan kisni dan na kanalu i camce koji cekaju turiste da im pokazu lepote grada.
Dobar trenutak snimka, perspektiva i boje, lepa fotografija.
Prijatan dan sa lepim vremenom, pozdrav Paja.
Good day, we have started the heat.
Nice memory of a rainy day in the channel and boats that are waiting for tourists to show their beautiful city.
A good time recording, perspective and color, beautiful photos.
Have a nice day with beautiful weather, greeting Paja.

I live on 15 km of these city.

this photo lacks sharpness and the sky is washed-out

Very interesting composition giant showing what is typical for the city of Bruges. Good contrast green tree against the old house across the water. Image cheerfully brighten yellow flowers and pretty colors cruise ships.

Thanks for your visit, dear Ike.
An outstanding mood is convied by the view of huge fir that competes with the historic "flodded" building across the canal as eye-catchers.
Exceptional color fidelity in this charming take!

Brugge is really a beautiful place. Here you have shown the canal very nicely. I like the houses with red windows. The colors are superb . A very picturesque place.
Have a merry Christmas.

The angles and lines created with this vertical composition are appealing Ike, it flows really well into the image. The title certainly fits the scene, this looks like a beautifully quaint city and the few people on the walkway add some nice scale. Great catch after the rain!

Il aurait été vraiment dommage de venir en Belgique et de ne pas avoir vu Bruges, 'la petite Venise du nord"
Bon POV, profondeur, un jour sans soleil mais qui rend bien les couleurs

You're capturing well this place by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the calm canal which flows through a medieval town, historical building and some boats anchoring to the edge of canal. And, it's also impressive in the promenade along the canal and the tall tree with the summer's color.

Your viewpoint did a good job with colourful boats in the foreground make a great impact drawing the eyes deep into the shot. It's neat and lovely waterways lined by beautiful old architecture and i feel the dark shiny water and grey sky blend and contrast against the bright area of the capture. It's pleasantly framed with sweeping depth and perspective. Well done Congrats

Bruges is still on my bucket list of places to see. Good perspective and it reminds me a little of Amsterdam. Good sharpness and pleasant pastel colours. The canal adds deep lead in lines and linear perspective. Tfs.

What a contrast this is to your photos of Israel. Here, the buildings seem to be floating in water. I wonder how they battle with dampness in the houses.
PS. You are right about night photography. However, to bring ISO down requires the extension of the exposure time, which would require a tripod. Frankly, I am too lazy to carry one. Besides, usually, we start our galavanting during the day, when I am not even thinking about a tripod and when the evening comes, I am up a creek without a paddle (I mean, a tripod).
