Window in the Håkon`s Hall, Bergen. The Håkon`s Hall was built by the Norwegian King Håkon Håkonson in the years 1247 - 1261. The Hall was royal residence and banqueting hall. The son of King Håkon Håkonson Magnus Lagabøte married the danish princess Ingebjørg in this building in 1261, with 2000 guests invited. The walls are up to three meters thick. At the time Bergen was Norways largest and most important city. The building was restored in the last half of the 19th century. An explotion at Bergen harbour in 1944 destroyed much of the restoration work that was done. Once again the building was restored and was reopened in 1961.

Beautiful stone window in the beautiful stone wall. Interesting look at the sculptures of heads windowsill. The whole building is probably too nice. Look good colored stones. Interesting photo.

This window decorated so nicely looks beautiful on the old wall. You have captured it extremely well, with ideal photographic quality. Perfectly good composition!

Et flott bilde fra Håkonshallen
Detaljene i og rundt vinduet kommer godt frem og
fargenyansene i steinene gjør at det blir "liv" i muren.
Ha en riktig God Påske

A great photo which works on many levels I think mainly by reducing the elements to a few textures, a few colours and a few points which attract the eye.
Very nice shot,

in effetti tra la bifora della mia foto e questa, c'è una notevole somiglianza.
Molto differente invece è il muro che qui trovo particolarmente bello.
Ottimo rispetto delle prospettive e luce ben dosata con un ottimo sharp.
