The rice terraces at Banaue and Batad "were hewn from the land 2000 years ago by Ifugao tribespeople using primitive tools...called the "Stairways to Heaven" by the Ifugaos, the terraces would stretch 20 000 km if laid out end to end." (The Rough Guide).
The terraces were recently added to the UN World Heritage List. Pictured here are the terraces at Batad.

Howzit,, Good to see another SAFA on the site.. I read your profile with interest- what a wonderful place to be working.. The Philipines look most interesting.. strangely enough I associated the rice padies more with China.. a good POV showing the depth and height in the image.. some of the fields are certainly at high levels. not easy to get to. Have a great day Rich

Tou're capturing well this terraced rice fields by a good angle and excellent tone, so it's always impressive and interesting to see terraced rice fields where steep slope in steep mountain is used as farming ground. It is also impressive that there is a village in the hillside in the mountain. And, thick cloud with which it covers on mountain draws out a diitional good atmosphere, I think.

This I would like to see with my own eyes someday :)
Your high POV gives a wonderful overview over the terraces. Nice green and earth colors with spots of red in it. I like the compo with the look through the mountains. Well done :)
