''Ponte degli Alpini (Alpini's bridge) is the covered wooden pontoon bridge designed by the architect Andrea Palladio in 1569. The bridge is located in Bassano del Grappa and was destroyed many times, the last time in World War II. The bridge spans the river Brenta.

The Brenta river was an important means of communication in the 18th century from the mountains of Grappa to Venice.''

Gorgeous view, Alessandro! Excellent point of view with the bridge leading towards the cluster of the buildings. The cypress trees decorate the scene and the dark mountains provide a lovely backdrop. Nice work!

This covered bridge is so much different from the covered bridges in the New England area. Nicely captured with sharp details. Great lighting especially on the buildings. Wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.

Sono un ex alpino ed ho fatto il giuramento solenne in piazza a Bassano, ci sono stato 4 volte di cui 2 lo scorso anno e non sono mai riuscito a vedere il ponte

Wonderful picture!
I just miss a tiny bit more of sharpness, but everything else is excellent: colors, exposure, horizontal format, black & white borders, chosen pov and composition! Ah, I wish it were larger so I can see better all those attractive details!
