The church is situated at Bakka, a small village by the Nćrřyfjord, connected with Gudvangen by a 6 km long road (incl. an own tunnel of about 2.5 km!). Nćrřy community in the parish of Aurland consists of the small villages: Dyrdal, Styvi, Tufte, Bakka and the inhabitants in the Nćrřy valley/Gudvangen. The church was built in 1859 and has about 200 seats. It's a white wooden church. There are about 10 church-services a year.
You can compare this photo with that of Erling. Different POV, different lights, different equipment - but still the same church. (By the way, here you can see the water of the fjord, mentioned by Erling.)

What a beautiful church, I like the crisp whiteness of it nestled against the majesty of the landscape. I think the image could be improved if you had placed the church lower down in the frame

You have caputured the little church in about the same angle as I did, but you went outside the wall, that works really well too. It would have been interesting, once, to drive the road from Gudvangen to Bakka. The photo has fine sharpness and good colors. Looking forward to see others photo from your trip to my country. Very nice work! TFS.
Best regards, Erling

Norway is a country that I have really wanted to visit, but in the summer so far, it is impossible for me, and in winter is very cold.
A beautiful church that stands out from the foliage of the forest.
Excellent composition and details.

Ciao caro Laszlo, come stai?
Eccellente lavoro, caro amico!
Ciao, un abbraccio

A clean crisp photo, with no one around, and composed in a manner showing the idyllic setting. I remember this scene from two visits to the site (in 1994 and 2002) except my trips were by way of cruise ships that anchored in the fjord. What is at least as dramatic is to view this church and the fjord from the top of the peaks.

What a nice picture from green and dramatic norway. I like that beautiful, little wooden church and this composition you have made.
Thanks for sharing this.

Good to see some activities from your side after a long break. Since your have not posted any new photos I had a look at your old ones. This one is really nice and I like the way the white wooden church stands out against the rather dark surroundings. Ihe church is also well positioned in your photo. TFS and have a nice weekend!
