My wife and I spent our 20th anniversary here at Secrets Capri. This was just one of the many sunrises.

As just a few of the non partying types, we usually got up early to see a nice quiet beach.

If you decide to go to the Mexican Riviera, there are a multitude of hotels and resorts to stay at. We were there just two weeks after Hurricane Wilma destroyed much of Cancun and beaches south.

As such, not all of our resort was open. However, that meant there were less guests. The staff was at 100%, so the staff to guest ratio was definitely in out favor.

No matter where we went, the locals all treated us very nicely.

Also, on your next trip take advantage of the many historical tours in the Yucatan Peninsula. We saw Tulum and Chichen Itza. There are other great trips too, but they were all still closed because of hurricane damage.

So, here's my entry into the endless numbers of Seascape sunrise/sunsets on TE.

This was taken with my little Nikon Coolpix 7900. Its a great little pocket digital, when you don't want to carry the big guns. After all, it was my anniversary, not an assignment.

note: I just realized I spelled Riviera wrong on my title. I'm too lazy to fix it. ~v~

Hi Vic
Nice place to spend your wedding anniversary.
The horizon is placed nice and high. I like the contrast between the clear light and dark clouds as well as the sharpness of the breaking wave. I can just imagine the noise of it.
Regards
Nikki

Bonsoir Vic,
Cette image est bien sûr très belle mais elle est un peu vide il manque peut-être un élément pour attirer l'oeil. Un bateau, une personne, un objet, etc. Mais ce n'est que mon avis!
Amicalement et salutations.
