If you want to see the wonderful point of view at the top of the great pyramid of the Maa site of Cobá, you really have to climb and it is not easy to go down after...

Note about the place :

Coba (Cobá in the Spanish language) is a large ruined city of the Pre-Columbian Maya civilization, located in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. It is located about 90 km east of the Maya site of Chichen Itza, about 40 km west of the Caribbean Sea, and 44 km northwest of the site of Tulum, with which it is connected by a modern road.
Coba is located around two lagoons. A series of elevated stone and plaster roads radiate from the central site to various smaller sites near and far. These are known by the Maya term "sacbe" (plural "sacbeob"). Some of these causeways go east to the Caribbean coast, and the longest runs over 100 km to the west to the site of Yaxuna. The site contains several large temple pyramids, the tallest, known as Nohoch Mul, being 42 meters in height.

Very good POV, i can almost feel the state Acrophobia. thanks for sharing.

Good to see your pictures from mexico, I've been there 3 years ago but someone have stolen my camera (with 500 pics c.ca) the last day of the vacancy :o( , so... with your shots you remind to me the beautiful place that I've seen,
...aniway, a really nice picture from an impressive POV, well done Matthieu.
have a nice weekend,
Fabio

Bonjour Matthieu,
Je ne voyais pas ces pyramides aussi pentues. Ton POV en fait prendre conscience. Je comprends l'utilité de la corde pour assurer ces touristes maladroits. Excellente image vivante et impressionnante.
Bonne journée
Amicalement
Joël

Good point Matthieu,
I've been on this exact position and I would say a bit wider angle would be appropriate. The hight of the great platform is 46 metres and it is the highest viewing point in the whole area, so it stands like a sore thumb :)
TFS,
Ben
