Mexican transport Photo

Photographer’s Note

I took this picture from the passenger seat of the van because those mexican teenagers were looking at us and laughing(our van had a plate from Califronia). When they saw my camera, the boy made this sign but I don't know what it means!
Also, this type of trnasport is very usual in Mexico but I am not sure it is very safe...
This picture was taken early in the morning and I had to remove some noise with neatimage.
Also, I blured the license number.

That's a nice daily life shot, Fred. Nice color on the pick-up. While I like the placement of the car, I think a bit of a wider frame might be nice . . . it feels a bit cramped (although, I know it's tough to capture something like this from a moving vehicle). I also like the fact that you can see the smashed guardrail and the gravestone behind. It makes a nice contrast with the casual attitude of the kids in the car and underscores your point about the lack of safety. Nice shot!

Ouais ! j'aime bien le côté "vivant" de la photo. les jeunes s'amusent, la couleur de la voiture est pimpante et la lumière qui vient de la gauche est un plus pour cette photo.
Je ne sais pas ce que le geste signifie, par contre la route semble dangereuse, à droite la glissière est enfoncée et il y a une petite croix.
La dualité est forte.

Simple, but good and candid catch, Fred. The fact that the pickup truck has this flashy red color sure works out for the benefit of this photo - a nice daily life scene.

Jolie scene de la vie Fred que cette photo et merci pour ton ws.Le probleme avec les écrans de portable c'est qu'on est jamais certain de la luminosité et du contraste.Il faudrait pouvoir ajouter une calibration qui suit constamment l'image.Aurais tu un bon tuyau Fred?Merci.Phil

Great daily life shot you got here Fred - after all this could be Europe as well - but I'm not sure the police would be very pleased - here in Denmark.
And about safety - I can see you got a tombstone at the right side - it tells a story of its own ;-)

ils n'ont pas l'air de s'ennuyer ces 3 là...une scene que l'on voit pas chez nous???ce genre de voiture court egalement nos rues...cependant notre police est vigilante a ce sujet et ne laisse pas les gars monter à l'arriere...la scene en effet est vivante , le rire des jeunes filles donne toute l'ambiance à la photo...belle idée de nous montrer des facettes de la vie quotidienne de part là...merci fred...amities BI

This looks like a scene from an old movie, maybe from the 70's. Considering the conditions, I'd say that it's a good capture. And it's nice that you have blurred the license number..

Ah, here is Mexico again! Oui, c'est assez typique pour l'américa latine (voilà, en Mexique apparament aussi). La petite croix à gauche signifie qu'il y a eu un accident mortel à cet endroit; en Grèce j'en ai vu aussi plein. Très sympa de laisser un peu de privacy par effacer le num d'immatricul.

Les prises sur le vif sont souvent séduisantes et pleines d'imprévus comme le geste de de ce garçon et les attidudes de ces jeunes.

A good catch of three very happy faces. And a fantastic contrast to the cross at the side of the road, which is I suppose where some reckless driver lost his life.
I also blur license plates. Why do we do it?

Maybe the transport is not very safe, but yet very appealing... I´ve taken the liberty to dive a little in your portfolio. Today I feel routine a bit more heavy than usual so I´ve enjoyed a lot this photo so full of live. Merci Fred.

Great shot, Fred. Full of lightness and humor. The young kids are definitely enjoying the moment. The presence of the cross on the right adds a a good, unanticipated detail, since it marks the spot where someone lost their life in an accident.

Thank you for sharing this slice of life from Nayarít, Mexico... by the way I remember from family road trips when I was younger how treacherous the twists and turns of the highways can be in Nayarít.
