Sierra Intersection

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
With this shot I close my series on the Laguna de Sayula in west-central Mexico. I've enjoyed sharing my shots of this remarkable ecosystem, sustaining itself against the use and intrusion of humans over millennia.
In the process of selecting images for posting here, I did a little reading on the history of this area. I was informed by "Arquelogía de la Cuenca de Sayula" (published jointly by the Universidad de Guadalajara and Institut de Recherche pour le Développement in 2006). Somewhat hard to find, and recommended.
I've also published a poem or two about this area. Anyone else interested in finding out more or exchanging ideas, please feel free to contact me directly.
(The sierra intersection here is the Sierra de Tapalpa on the left and the Sierra de la Difunta on the right.) |

Hola Jose,
precioso paraje, dan ganas de perderte por ahi. La foto es interesante, pero creo que le falta un poco de definicion para poder apreciar mejor los detalles. Bien visto
Un saludo
Sergio

Hi José! ;-)
I really enjoy your pictures of Mexico, well all them, but I know how imporant is for you, that´s the reason why!
I am really impressed about the light, the reflections, the depth, the sensation the image causes on me, I would say it´s very complete image, the entire sky is reflected on the water!
I envy you a lot! I would like to go to Mexico soon, pero como que el continente americano es chico!!!
Thank for sharing it friend!
Take care! ;-)
Hugs
Miguel

Hi Jose,
Wonderful meditative mood .. love the light both near and far .. the distant diffusion goes well with the light and really sets the feel.
take care,
John
