[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Palanque is an ancient Mayan city in Chiapas. It is set in lush tropical rain forest and whilst you are there you can hear the howling monkeys and parrots. I even got to see a couple of tucans.

Palaenque's most famous ruler was king Pakal. Pakal was buried in the temple of the inscriptions, which is the pyramid in the middle of the picture. Together with Pakals skeleton, archeologists also found a death mask made of jade, obsidian ands shell.

Palenque is an amazing place and in my opinion is the best Mayan ruins in the whole of Mexico. Also, due to the fact that it is in Chiapas, it does not get too many tourists, unlike Teotihucan and Chechen Itza.

Tech: The shot is made up of 4 photos that I have stiched together. I then cropped the image, adjusted the levels andsharpened.

No one critiqued this one?... Well I find this photo quite interesting, and especially like how the jungle involves the piramids. Although the contrast and colors could be enhanced the composition is quite fine to me as well the POV. The only question is that strange piece of sky in the top left. Unfinished PP?...

Francis,
Sometime it is quite difficult to understand why no one criticed your picture?
I find it quite interesting. It is the only view in TE where it is possible to understand the site of Palenque. Well done. Nice stiched of photo. Nice colors. I find it very good.
Cheers.
Michel
